Like using shared steps between tests, and in executions **What problems is ApTest Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?** Using ApTest I can have a clear concise idea of what tests to run for each release and they are documented pretty easily. I can also integrate with my CI/CD and mark the results there ### 3. This helped with keeping track of previous test cases for potential modifications in the future. **What do you dislike about ApTest Manager?** I had the most pain when it cane to having to import/export test cases into/from ApTest Manager. **Recommendations to others considering ApTest Manager:** Be sure to extensively test first all features provided by ApTest Manager to ensure fit with business and operations needs. **What problems is ApTest Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?** As for business problems, I was able to properly document test cases and test steps in an orderly way that helped with the presentation to Business Analysts. ### 5. Long time ApTest user **Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2017 **What do you like best about ApTest Manager?** price point is good; it was an early product available which allowed us to link requirements to tests (and vice versa), create test runs from clones and provide reports. I also like how easy it is to import test results back into the system **What do you dislike about ApTest Manager?** Hasn't changed much in the past 10 years; uses an embedded, headless DB that we can't query, and the support for synchronization to standard DBs (SQL Server, for example) is shaky. I also don't like that it is based on PERL - customization requires that you're well versed in PERL and in my 20 years I've only known 1 person who really is, and 2 who thought they were. **Recommendations to others considering ApTest Manager:** While difficult to set up (it can take days), it is stable once in place. don't expect to customize much unless you're very well versed in PERL. The product is rarely enhanced - the look and feel is nearly identical to what it was when I first evaluated for another company in about 2005. That being said, it's a no frills package that works. Integration is week though **What problems is ApTest Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?** allows us to manage test cases, execute and report on testing.
