"Mountain Lion IOS Version Outdated But Revolutionary"

3.5/5

What do you like best about Apple OS X Mountain Lion?

Quick Tweets is a nice ease of life, you can communicate to all of your followers without having the distraction of going on just to tweet. The voice feature is pretty great, although I prefer typing over talking at times it is helpful. The Safari was a game-changer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apple OS X Mountain Lion?

I've always disliked having to pay for new version downloads, I felt like it should have come included with the purchase of the device. Mountain lion was more affordable than any other version before but you still had to pay. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Apple OS X Mountain Lion solving and how is that benefiting you?

Communication would be a big one from being able to use Messenger to communicate with family friends and clients to twitter with the touch of a button to update my followers on whats going on in my life. The historical search in Safari, all of these are super useful features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Go more modern for better features and stability"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Apple OS X Mountain Lion?

To me there is nothing better than MacOS. The usability, organization, reliability, look and feel are unparalleled. Mountain Lion is an older version of the OS, and it's great for older machines if you need it. But Mac is on OS 11 now, and I recommend using an OS that is at most 2-3 years old if you don't want to run the absolute latest and greatest. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apple OS X Mountain Lion?

I had no specific, major problems with Mountain Lion. I install an OS after it's been out for at least one year. And this version was no exception. But now, you would want a more updated version, especially for the security benefits and the feature sets, including compatibility with iOS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Apple OS X Mountain Lion:

The age of your computer, security needs, model and year of iPhone or related Apple devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Apple OS X Mountain Lion solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Mountain Lion on an older MacBook Pro. It allows me to access all the hardware features on the MacBook, and use the software that makes it compatible with Airport, the Internet, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Roaring peaks and rocky paths"

5/5

What do you like best about Apple OS X Mountain Lion?

1. Mountain Lion's excellent interaction with the Apple ecosystem is one of its strongest points. iCloud seamlessly syncs your data across devices, making your digital life easier.

2. With Gatekeeper, you can pick the level of program installation freedom you want, making your Mac safer than ever. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apple OS X Mountain Lion?

Unfortunately, Mountain Lion is not compatible with all classic Macs. If your machine does not satisfy the criteria, be prepared to upgrade. Mountain Lion can also be a battery hog on older MacBook models, in my experience. Keep your charger close at hand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Apple OS X Mountain Lion solving and how is that benefiting you?

1. The tight integration of Mountain Lion with iCloud solved the problem of seamless data synchronization among Apple devices. This helped me by ensuring that their documents, photographs, and settings were always up to date across all of their devices, resulting in a more efficient and connected digital experience.

2. Users may easily share their Mac screen on a TV via AirPlay Mirroring, resolving the issue of limited display options. This feature aided users by making it easier to give presentations, view multimedia information on a larger screen, and improve their overall computer experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Increasing Productivity: An Extensive Analysis of OS X Mountain Lion"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Apple OS X Mountain Lion?

From my experience, the iCloud integration in OS X Mountain Lion made sure that my data synchronised with all of my Apple devices with ease. Notification Centre helped me stay organised without being overly disruptive, while Messages for Mac made communication easier. My demands for effective and safe online activities were fully met by Safari's unified surfing experience and improved security features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apple OS X Mountain Lion?

In my experience, OS X Mountain Lion caused slowdowns in performance when it came to earlier Mac models due to compatibility difficulties. A few programmes were not optimised, which resulted in random crashes. Although Gatekeeper improved security, installing software felt constrained by it. These elements occasionally affected my overall user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Apple OS X Mountain Lion solving and how is that benefiting you?

In my perspective, OS X Mountain Lion overcame the difficulty of integrating my Apple devices seamlessly, improving workflow and data availability. My communication and organisation were greatly increased by the unified messaging provided by Messages and the improved productivity tools like Notes and Reminders. Its strong security features—like Gatekeeper, for example—also gave users piece of mind by guaranteeing a safer computer environment. Overall, Mountain Lion allayed my worries and significantly improved my Mac usage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"It is outdated now, Always use the latest release"

2.5/5

What do you like best about Apple OS X Mountain Lion?

I like the requirements for Mountain Lion which are very low like 2 GB RAM and \* GB ROM. I feel this is saviour for low edn devices or servers.I have used it on MAC mini for almost an year and I found it super fast like every Apple OS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apple OS X Mountain Lion?

The Mountain Lion is outdated now if you have latest device. I always prefer latest verision for apple devices. But still you will get latest patches for Mountain Lion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Apple OS X Mountain Lion solving and how is that benefiting you?

As it is regular apple OS, I found it best for low end devices as it require less specs. And Apple is still releasing the patched for this old OS, whihc is awesome and trustable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Apple OS X Mountain"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Apple OS X Mountain Lion?

The Apple's OS X Mountain Lion gave Mac users access to a number of noteworthy features. Data syncing across devices was made simple via iCloud integration, and the Notification Center consolidated alerts from numerous apps. Easy communications across Apple devices was made possible by iMessage, and wireless screen sharing with Apple TV was made possible by AirPlay Mirroring. Dictation provided voice input, Gatekeeper improved security, and Power Nap permitted background activities while in sleep mode. A unified search field, tab syncing, and improved performance were added to Safari. Social gaming elements were introduced by Game Center. Together, these innovations enhanced user experience, productivity, and connectivity, distinguishing OS X Mountain Lion as a notable macOS update. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apple OS X Mountain Lion?

Comparing Apple's OS X Mountain Lion to more recent macOS versions, it had a number of drawbacks. It had less sophisticated security than later macOS releases and lacked Continuity features for seamless connection with iOS devices. Older gear became incompatible with newer macOS versions, and finding software that worked with them became difficult. Siri, Apple Music, and Dark Mode are examples of features that weren't present in Mountain Lion but were added in later releases. Additionally, it possessed an outdated version of Safari, only moderate GPU acceleration, and several out-of-date services like Game Center. Although Mountain Lion introduced considerable upgrades upon its release, it gradually became constrained in comparison to the developing macOS ecosystem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Apple OS X Mountain Lion solving and how is that benefiting you?

OS X Mountain Lion by Apple set out to address a number of user issues. It introduced iMessage for seamless communications on Macs and solved data synchronization issues with iCloud integration. It also centralized notifications through the Notification Center for better information management. In addition, it enabled AirPlay Mirroring for wireless screen sharing, improved security with Gatekeeper, increased productivity with tools like Power Nap, and provided an improved web browsing experience with Safari upgrades. Game Center introduced communal gaming to the Mac and offered services for gamers. Although Mountain Lion successfully addressed these problems when it was released, it's important to note that subsequent macOS versions have continued to advance and take into account new user requirements and difficulties. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Mountain Lion - Great Platform"

5/5

What do you like best about Apple OS X Mountain Lion?

In Mountain Lion, Sharing takes on a deeply personal touch, becoming an intuitive system-wide companion. Picture the Share button as your loyal friend, always by your side in the Finder, Safari, QuickTime, Quick Look, and soon, even in your favorite third-party apps once they catch up to the trend.

This Share button, which feels like it's everywhere (just look at it gracing Safari's toolbar), becomes your magical portal to effortlessly share the wonders of the web. Want to hold onto that captivating link you stumbled upon? Just reach for the Share button in Safari. Need to send an important document to a colleague? Your trusty Share button in Finder lets you whisk it away via email, Messages, or AirDrop. Sharing files with someone? With the Share button in your corner, it's a breeze.

But what about connecting your own devices, making them harmonize seamlessly? This is where iCloud enters your personal narrative.

One of Mountain Lion's most remarkable strides is its profound integration with iCloud, a suite of services that magically synchronizes your data across every device you own. iCloud takes the burden off your shoulders and ensures that your data is effortlessly organized across your various companions: your Mac at the office, your iPad at home, and your iPhone in your pocket. Thanks to iCloud, living with multiple devices becomes a symphony of seamless information sharing, always keeping you in sync with the latest updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apple OS X Mountain Lion?

Many Macs that had the potential for support were left behind, leaving users with limited options. Some resourceful individuals have developed third-party solutions, with varying degrees of success, to cater to these overlooked Macs. Interestingly, these Macs find complete support when running Windows 8, courtesy of Microsoft.

When it comes to AirPlay Mirroring, it's important to note that only a select group of Macs that align with Mountain Lion's requirements can enjoy this feature. Nevertheless, there are third-party applications on the market that can replicate or mimic these capabilities on older hardware.

Power Nap, a convenient feature, unfortunately, extends its embrace to only a small number of Macs compatible with Mountain Lion.

Upon its initial release, the "Save As" function left much to be desired, causing frustration among users. Fortunately, this was addressed and rectified with the 10.8.2 update, much to the relief of many.

Similar to the Lion update, various changes in gestures, scroll direction, window resizing, and other interface tweaks have the potential to irk long-time Mac users. These alterations have elicited strong reactions, leading to the availability of third-party "fixes" aimed at restoring the previous user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Apple OS X Mountain Lion solving and how is that benefiting you?

One standout feature from the first text is the deeper integration with iCloud, which seamlessly synchronizes data across all of a user's devices, making it easier to maintain up-to-date information across multiple computing devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, User-Friendly Apple OS"

5/5

What do you like best about Apple OS X Mountain Lion?

I used OS every day on my last work computer and loved how easy it was to sync content among my various Apple devices. You can use Notes and iMessages on your laptop, and whatever you add to these apps will also show up on your iPhone, for example. I liked using the Reminders feature for my to-do list (which I still use on my new laptop), which is great for staying organized. It's also a fairly fast OS; I've never had any issues with speed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apple OS X Mountain Lion?

Airplay Mirroring is a great concept -- it allows you to display your screen on an HDTV with an Apple TV attached -- but I don't have an Apple TV and when I tried it on a friend's, I did not find it super intuitive to set up. If you do a lot of presentations and want to use this feature, that could be an issue, but there are so many other ways to share your screen that this was never an issue for my colleagues or me (we mostly use Google Hangouts now to do presentations, for example). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Apple OS X Mountain Lion solving and how is that benefiting you?

This OS made me more organized with Reminders, and the calendar function is great for keeping track of meetings and appointments. Its speed allowed me stay efficient with work. All in all, I enjoyed using this OS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
