"Good tool but could be better"
What do you like best about Apache OpenOffice Math?

Open-source free tool which manages to incorporate many features from its competitors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apache OpenOffice Math?

Not as good as its competition in the same domain. Has limited features and number of rows/columns. The default saving format is open-source and can sometimes have integration issues with MS office tools. It is good for users who do not want to spend a fortune on buying paid MS-Office tools. For eg. college students, etc. not recommended for Office use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Apache Open Office Math: The best equation editor for report making and research documents"
What do you like best about Apache OpenOffice Math?

The software is lighter and fast in operations and is available for free. The package is smaller, and many supported files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apache OpenOffice Math?

The user interface feels like an outdated office suite, and the latest file formats like docx, pptx aren't yet supported by the software. Also, the cloud saving option is not available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Apache OpenOffice Math?

Beside being a free tool, it is very helpful to write and edit formulas in my way and then import them to the text documents or spread sheets. I use Math to write formula to make them more readable and clear to understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apache OpenOffice Math?

It is not smart enough to detect the errors in case of complex formula. Its user interface is not so great likely because they are more attentive to the functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Create formulas quickly and easily."
What do you like best about Apache OpenOffice Math?

Formulas are extremely important in text tools and main calculations like Calc and excel. Apache Math has always helped me to edit formulas the way I want and import those into my text documents and spreadsheets. Advantage of using this software is that it is free forever and has translation into almost all languages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apache OpenOffice Math?

The use was constant and I don't see what to complain about, especially since it is a free tool and is there to help the community. Improvements and updates are always made to correct bugs and optimize the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Convenient for processing formulas to insert them into other documents"
What do you like best about Apache OpenOffice Math?

When I create my presentations and I need to write a formula, to make it readable I write it in OpenOffice Math, so as to make the denominators of fractions clear. Especially when I have to insert Greek letters, I find it convenient to look for them directly on OpenOffice Math.

The formulas created can be inserted directly into other OpenOffice documents or exported to PDF. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apache OpenOffice Math?

The first time I opened this program I had some difficulty finding the "elements", that is the preset formats of the formulas to be modified with their own values. It would be useful to insert them directly into the ribbon bar, so as to make the use of the program more intuitive even on first access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Useful for writing complex functions"
What do you like best about Apache OpenOffice Math?

I often find myself having to write formulas in my reports, so I find it necessary to use a program that makes them readable, to avoid using a long series of parentheses that would be difficult to understand. I often use it connected to OpenOffice Writer and OpenOffice Impress because they are the two tools I use most often to present projects. As in all other OpenOffice programs, I find it very convenient to have a quick export to PDF button. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apache OpenOffice Math?

It is not extremely intuitive, which is why my rating was 7, but it is necessary to explore the various commands to find the desired function. I believe it would be useful to have the "elements" window fixed within the ribbon bar, because it is the window that is used every time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Apache Open office Math complete and advance spreadsheet application”"
What do you like best about Apache OpenOffice Math?

I have been using Apache Open office Math for my personal business to keep track of payments, addresses, participants, buyers, and much more. By using this software, we can easily customize our data and create visuals to share our data. It has the great ability to customize and makes reports is great and if we need to really use some powers features in a more efficient way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apache OpenOffice Math?

The first problem about it will be the difficulty in learning. For the new users, learning Apache Open office can be very overwhelming. Another problem I least like about this software is that it is not smart enough to detect the errors. If there is a large amount of data saved in an Apache Open office, It can sometimes very difficult to for us to restore the data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"a good way to write equations smoothly and clearly"
What do you like best about Apache OpenOffice Math?

Open Office Math is a component of the Open Office software library that allows you to create mathematical equations, we can use it as an equation editor I use it when I have to insert equations in a document.

I also feel very comfortable with respect to the paid version of the same software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apache OpenOffice Math?

like all OpenOffice programs, graphics are not so great, they are much more attentive to functionality than aesthetic beauty Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Convenient for writing formulas"
What do you like best about Apache OpenOffice Math?

In cases where I need to insert formulas into texts, I use OpenOffice Math because it is integrated with OpenOffice Writer. The convenient thing is that there is a group of "elements," which are graphics with frequently used mathematical symbols, and this allows for easily inserting elements within elements to obtain the desired formula. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apache OpenOffice Math?

I would have preferred that this program already had a formula editing part that worked so well within OpenOffice Writer. And here too, the buttons are a bit too small. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

" Convenient for reporting formulas in texts"
What do you like best about Apache OpenOffice Math?

Math is the OpenOffice module for writing mathematical equations.

The advantage of using it is to have all the special characters at the "button" in the ribbon bar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apache OpenOffice Math?

If you have to write easy formulas, its use is very easy, but if the formula is a little more complex, you must pay close attention when typing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
