It is a very fast tool and scalable online analytical processing SQL system. We can also run federated queries using the HAWQ. This software also enables us to use the tools to deal with a wide-set range of data. It is basically a SQL Query engine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Major problem we can encounter is that if the instance or the master instance is down then the users around would not be able to connect . It is not the fastest SQL engine available in the market, while we think Actian Vector H is the fastest. If I am going to work on semi-structured data then I would prefer to use drill and query. HAWQ is a very capable product with some unique and compelling capabilities. For me it's the fastest SQL query engine on Hadoop. Also the quality and the completeness. HAWQ has much better performance than Impala on queries with large joins, rollups, or complex sub-selects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
