**What do you like best about Ansys Materials?**

One can access extensive material property libraries that contain data on mechanical, thermal, electrical, electronics and other material properties. These libraries include commonly used materials such as steel, aluminum, polymers, ceramics, and many others. The module allows users to apply these material properties to their simulations, enabling them to evaluate and predict how different materials will behave in different engineering scenarios.

**What do you dislike about Ansys Materials?**

Ansys Materials provides an extensive material property database, there might be cases where specific or niche material data is not readily available. Users working with unique or specialized materials may need to source or generate their own material properties, which can be time consuming and require additional effort.

**What problems is Ansys Materials solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While performance of design optimization Ansys materials which coupled with electromagnetic simulation tools, enables design optimization of printed micro-strip antennas (printed electronics). By analyzing different material choices and their impact on antenna performance, we took different imperatively refine the design to meet specific requirements of research. This optimization process may involve adjusting material properties, such as dielectric constant, to achieve desired resonant frequencies, impedance matching, or radiation characteristics. Ansys Materials provides the necessary material modeling capabilities to support this iterative design process. and accordingly we achieved our results more precisely.

ANSYS supports a wide range of material models, such as linear elasticity, nonlinear hyperelasticity, plasticity, viscoelasticity, and more. These models are used to simulate the behavior of different materials under various loading conditions

**What do you dislike about Ansys Materials?**

ANSYS does not provide its own extensive material properties database. While it allows users to import material properties from external databases, the availability and accuracy of the data can vary.

**What problems is Ansys Materials solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ANSYS provides the tools for material analysis, the accuracy of the simulations heavily relies on the quality of the material properties used. Therefore, it is crucial to ensure that the material properties used in ANSYS simulations accurately represent the real-world behavior of the materials being analyzed

One of the key advantages offered by software simulations such as those provided by Ansys is that ergonomic and user-friendly criteria are introduced as standard, with the overall aim of developing more resistant, lightweight and affordable structures.

Nothing to saythe number of options and tools can be overwhelming for novice users.

Like as mechanical engineering during engineering I use to use this app fo analysis of material
And the UI and the buil app of ansys is perfect so we just can use for any compact part to anaylsis the material for it

There nothing to dislike this app
I per my experience one of the best tool for mechanical industry

We have to go with lot of traditional methods to have anaylsis of material for specific part but it's very quick and accurate when we use ansys material

The process of being analysed it taes more time for to analyse few of the analsyis when your BC is more

Finite Element analysis is the major thing i have worked on it's easier than a hand calculation and extremely productive

You can create material using properties so it helps in testing of material composites that are not in standard use.Best thing is its easy to use even for the beginners.

**What do you dislike about Ansys Materials?**

Nothing to dislike specifically but you need should be able to edit all the material properties.

**What problems is Ansys Materials solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps in creating composite material for analysis.In our business we deal with composite materials mostly and ansys material tool really hepls in the way of exploring new material which are not in library.

Extensive library. Has most commonly used materials like steel, copper, etc. Also, we can create our own materials as well for special materials.

**What do you dislike about Ansys Materials?**

Nothing much. Sometimes the materials are not arranged in order which makes it difficult to find.

**What problems is Ansys Materials solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping to understand the properties of existing materials which also helps in selection of the materials.

**What do you like best about Ansys Materials?**

The software has most of the material database you need in your line of work with great detail about the material properties required to complete all the analysis.

**What do you dislike about Ansys Materials?**

when we want the data required to do non-isotropic analysis with the complex material arrangement, we might require to get the additional data from somewhere else and integrate it to do the analysis.

**What problems is Ansys Materials solving and how is that benefiting you?**

from structural analysis to dynamic analysis. When we need to do the analysis of the pressure-containing component we use this software for qualification purpose.

Its straigh forward to use, which makes it easy for new learners and it also has one the accurate material libraries and it have all the properties that you need for various types of analysis

Nothing to dislike, its a great tool and ahas a awesome collection of materials and  helps even a novice. The properties shown are also accurate with latest libraries

Easy to use, Quick to learn , accurate properties, good classification of the materials to differentiate the types while picking, overall a very good library that is a boon for ANSYS CAE

There are some software available fix property definition but ansys material has the functionality of different material models and their selection.

**What do you dislike about Ansys Materials?**

As of such there is no negative point on the tool but If user define attribute (UDA) enhanced further than it can be more powerful

**What problems is Ansys Materials solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem of heat conduction where my material switched domain to domain. I used there this tool for definition of the domain.

**What do you like best about Ansys Materials?**

Properties of the materials used for designing a product are easily  available which in turn can save time for the product development.  Trusted material data and large number of materials are  available in the Library. Design and weight of the product can be optimized by using easily available data in materials library. Uniformity of material properties is possible when using material properties available in ANSYS Materials. New Material properties (Even Additive material properties)  can be add for future reference and uniformity.

**What do you dislike about Ansys Materials?**

Material properties can change due to change in the production process; hence the variation in the material properties due to changes in the production processes can not be considered while using material data available in the library. For that purpose, we need to obtain material properties in a conventional way.

**Recommendations to others considering Ansys Materials:**

Surely recommend using ANSYS Materials. Can save time and effort for the product development or research output with available trusted material properties.

**What problems is Ansys Materials solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ansys Materials can be used for designing a product that contains a combination of materials. All trusted material properties values are available at the same place, which saves time and brings uniformity of the results when results are obtained at different locations and by different people.

User friendly interface. Easy to use and perform analysis on using various materials. We get the required materials in order to get proper results.

No dislikes. Everything we get  as required.

Analysis of I section beam by considering the beam as simply supported beam and performing the analysis to get the stress, which part of beam has maximum stress, deformation, Von mises stress, etc

User interface is user friendly, available  Material models are more practical to use, easy material model editing for specific use.

No option for customisation of material modeling according to certain specific needs after various heat treatments.
