## About Amazon MemoryDB
Amazon MemoryDB for Redis is a Redis-compatible, durable, in-memory database that delivers ultra-fast performance and Multi-AZ durability. With Amazon MemoryDB for Redis, you only pay for what you use with no minimum fee. A node is the smallest building block of a MemoryDB cluster. Each node supports varying amounts of computation and memory capacity, and you can select a node type based on your needs. You are charged based on three components: on-demand instance hours per node, volume of data written to your cluster, and snapshot storage that you use.

**What do you like best about Amazon MemoryDB?**

Amazon MemoryDB delivers Redis-like, microsecond-speed performance with database-grade durability. It combines in-memory speed with Multi-AZ data safety in a single service, so you don’t need to run a separate cache and database.

**What do you dislike about Amazon MemoryDB?**

1. Costly You’re essentially paying for both durability and memory, which makes it noticeably more expensive than using ElastiCache Redis as a cache-only option.
2. Higher write latency than a pure cache Write operations tend to land in the single-digit millisecond range rather than the microseconds you’d expect from Redis, because MemoryDB also has to log to disk.

**What problems is Amazon MemoryDB solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amazon MemoryDB solves two main problems for me. First, it removes the need to manage a separate cache and database, so I don’t have to write custom code to keep them in sync. Second, it delivers very fast in-memory performance while still keeping my data safe if a node fails.

**What do you like best about Amazon MemoryDB?**

It has high scalability with security from AWS infrastructure. It provides high throughput with highly reliable in-memory Redis DB solution. It is able manage heavy workloads with ease. Implementation and integration in existing project is easy.

**What do you dislike about Amazon MemoryDB?**

Although it provides very fast RedisDB solution but it has cost on higher side which can be a problem.

**What problems is Amazon MemoryDB solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has solved many problems for our large scale real estate project where we needed a high throughput based DB for caching that can handle heavy web traffic and it should have high performance. This is solved by in-memory Redis DB solution from MemoryDB. It has been real game changer with amazing read/write speeds for caching data leading to decreased load on server.

**What do you like best about Amazon MemoryDB?**

It provides ease of integration and implementation with backend. It is very fast in spinning off a new db and configuring it for large scale apps. It provides high availability, security and data analytics with very high throughput. It provides in-memory Redis solution which performs well under heavy user traffic.

**What do you dislike about Amazon MemoryDB?**

Although it is easy to integrate and it provides best in class read/write speeds but it is costly solution.

**What problems is Amazon MemoryDB solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is providing a in-memory Redis DB as a DBaaS solution which we required with high availability, performance, security this all requirements are fulfilled by MemoryDB. It has handled heavy user traffic with ease through Redis DB caching which has saved server from downtime and heavy workload.

**What do you like best about Amazon MemoryDB?**

its integration with other AWS solutions makes this service ideal, I manage several instances in EC2 and Memory DB works wonderfully with the instances that have Redis installed on the server, it also provides an extra layer of security that is very valuable for my websites.

**What do you dislike about Amazon MemoryDB?**

In general, I have liked everything about the platform, I have no complaints. Perhaps I could refer to the lack of initial information available for making implementations, but otherwise, everything is perfect.

They constantly update their servers, which allows them to have cutting-edge technology for all processes. This is very valuable and allows us to have a state-of-the-art technological infrastructure.

The quick setup and easy implementation. It has zero to no latency for Redis MemoryDB on AWS cloud. It is capable of handling highly scalable applications with all features of Redis and with pay as you use model pricing.

As it is meant for specific use cases the cost is higher compared to other services.

**What problems is Amazon MemoryDB solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has solved caching problem with its in memory database Redis service which has helped in providing fast responses to users using caching. This has increased the scalability of application with ablity to handle high traffic and perform caching of data which is not possible with other relational db based solutions.

It provides highly scalable and high performant Redis DB solution that is able to manage requests with no latency or performance drop. It allows to pay as you use. It is quick and simple to use, integrate and implement with existing projects.

Although it is very fast and solves the problem but it is costly solution.

It has provided high thoughput and high read/write speeds compared to relational DBs. It has allowed to deploy in-memory Redis DB cluster for caching needs. It allows to scale as per demand.

It is robust solution for high demanding needs and so it has high costs and initial configuration is challenging.

It has provided a high read/write speeds under heavy traffic workloads which has solved the requirement of cloud based  high performance in-memory Redis DB. It has seamlessly allowed to deploy a cluster using MemoryDB.

It has been a goto solution for Redis solution in AWS cloud. It has high performance under heavy traffic and can be configured on the go. It has backup snapshots which are much needed. It provides secured in-memory Redis DB compatible with other AWS services accompnied with AWS network security and DB analytics.

As service is for high performance and demanding workloads the cost is also high.

**What problems is Amazon MemoryDB solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has solved many issues especially we needed a Redis in-memory DB based cloud solution that is highly scalable as per the workloads and there should be no performance trade off with high availability which is provided by MemoryDB. Overall it is a complete package for those who need AWS cloud benefits with Redis DB.

It has high throughputs and fastest in segment read/write speeds for high demanding workloads that require memoryDB. It is quicker to upgrade for memory space during peak traffic hours. It manages heavy workloads with ease.

It takes time to configure and has a learning curve as it provides multiple solutions and one needs to choose the most suitable one. Also the cost compared to other cloud providers is higher as this solution is meant for specific use cases.

It is providing high througput, high availbility based Redis DB in-memory solution. It has provided high read/write speeds under heavy traffic through its Redis based caching solution which has saved server from heavy traffic.

**What do you like best about Amazon MemoryDB?**

There are multiple things that I like the most about Amazon MemoryDB however I will mention a few here based on my experience -

1. Fast read/write speed - MemoryDB stores data in memory, which enables it to achieve microsecond read and single-digit millisecond write latency, making it ideal for applications requiring fast data access.

2. Durable Data - Despite being an in-memory database, MemoryDB offers data durability through a Multi-AZ transactional log, ensuring data is not lost even in case of failures.

3. Ease of use and implementation - Since I am working in IT long back, It was not that tricky or difficult to implement Amazon MemoryDB in my organisation, and it was easy to learn and understand as well, however few of my colleagues found it little difficult however customer support are good so that shouldnt be a bottleneck.

**What do you dislike about Amazon MemoryDB?**

One thing that I really didn't liked was in comparison to traditional databases, MemoryDB supports a smaller range of data types, which was not suitable for all our use cases requiring complex data structures.

**What problems is Amazon MemoryDB solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I belong to logistics industry where the data is huge and to access and analyse that data within effective time is very crucial because in logistics every second counts, hence Amazon MemoryDB is saving a lot of my time than the regular database.

There are many things that make this a best solution like ease of implementation, robust AWS infrastructure for in-memory db with data durability in case of failures. It provides unbeatable fast read/write speeds for MemoryDB Redis caching solution.

AWS memoryDb gives speed for fast caching solutions but it has cost on upper side. Still speed compensates for the overall cost.

It is solving the high speed, high availability caching problem. It provides Redis db solution which scales up for heavy work loads in peak hours of app and reduces load on server with fast cache.

Microsecond reads through its in-memory architecture and redis compatibility. Extremely reliable as with most things Amazon.   Blazing fast performance with high scalabiility.  Works with AWS security features which are top notch.

Generally high costs but you are paying for top notch quality service.

It is very fast and very easy to scale the scope of the project and supports the JSON as well that was one of me key requirements as i use unity

Cost is bit on the higer side from the other tools out there and it can be bit complex in some scenario  but for the feature it is offering is stil worth it for me.

To store the data entities that needed to be accessed very fast on the runtime it was mostly related to the config.

AWS memoryDB has an amazing performance when dealing with a high demand application that needs low latency. It is easy to get into speed when starting with this and it is available for everyone to try out with the free tier.

**What do you dislike about Amazon MemoryDB?**

There is not a particular thing to dislike I guess, however be aware of the cost of this service. In memory storage is likely to be more expensive that in disk storage.
