"Amazon ElastiCache: Low-Latency Caching with Seamless Scaling and High Availability"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Amazon ElastiCache?

Amazon ElastiCache significantly improves application performance by providing fully managed in-memory caching with support for Redis OSS, Valkey, and Memcached. I particularly like automatic failover, Multi-AZ deployments, read replicas, cluster mode, snapshots, and seamless scaling, which remove much of the operational burden associated with self-managed cache clusters.

The service delivers extremely low-latency access for frequently used application data and integrates naturally with EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS, API Gateway, and modern microservices. Performance improvements are immediately noticeable for read-heavy applications, often reducing database load dramatically while improving end-user experience. What do you dislike about Amazon ElastiCache?

Proper cache invalidation and eviction strategies require careful planning. Applications also need to be designed to gracefully handle cache misses or node failovers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amazon ElastiCache: Ultra-Low Latency That Smoothly Handles Traffic Spikes"
5/5
What do you like best about Amazon ElastiCache?

What I like most about Amazon ElastiCache is its extremely low-latency performance. It noticeably improves application response times by offloading frequent reads from the database, and it also handles traffic spikes smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon ElastiCache?

Scaling large Redis clusters isn’t always seamless; it can require planning for downtime or doing careful rebalancing, especially when you’re dealing with stateful workloads. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to Use ElastiCache for Redis and Memcached"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Amazon ElastiCache?

AWS ElastiCache is easy to implement with irrepctive redis and Memcached, sign in to AWS and spin the server as per the application requirement, Any time server can be upscaled and downscaled based on the requirement, and can create highly available clusters with multiple nodes, to manage the application traffic very efficiently, Creating the credential is too easy that we can create a group and create multiple users and assign with different roles. With the AWS Eco system, we can connect our ElastiCache server at any time from anywhere using an EC2 machine, while attaching top Security configuration. AWS ElastiCache provides a frequent snapshot facility for any event that happens so we can revert the changes—hassle-free version upgrade. AWS Support is Top-notch in the market. if we need any help related to infra, the AWS support team will be available 24/7. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon ElastiCache?

Run on the Default port, and not let us change it. nothing else was found in Elasticache clusters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Elasti cache for college_app"
5/5
What do you like best about Amazon ElastiCache?

Elasticache is fully managed cache service. I have integrated my app with DynamoDB and Elasticache with Redis caching engine which made my app super fast on the data that was frequently accessed. Elasticache supports hashes, sets as well, this I loved most, without Elasticache if I want to use caching on DynamoDB I would have used Redis but that would be really difficult for me to deploy and maintain. Simple and easy to setup. DynamoDB accelerator also does the same but it is specific to DynamoDB but Elasticache can be used with multiple data stores. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon ElastiCache?

It is really expensive. It is only compatible with AWS databases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Worst Support in industry and talk about sercurity flaws in AWS..."
0/5
What do you like best about Amazon ElastiCache?

They offer everything at overpriced cost. We did Elastic Search hosting for 10K a month, moved away from AWS, and the cost is 800 a month at better performance. Someone got access to a key at some point; we rotated it, but the account kept getting compromised and misused. We raised 30 tickets to AWS, no one cared, and we ended up leaving as a bill over 60K came due to this, whereas we didn't consume any of the 60K, and again AWS didn't care at all... What do you dislike about Amazon ElastiCache?

If you like to pay 10X more for nothing, get no support or pay for support that goes in circles, go for AWS. We moved to GCP instead, which is 10X better. AWS wonders why people use it? Burning VC money maybe. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple to use, serverless Key-Value storage"
5/5
What do you like best about Amazon ElastiCache?

ElasticCache (for Redis) is simple to set up, reasonably priced, and very easy to use with modern development languages. The Redis version supports all the open-source features as well as clustering, upward scaling, and serverless architecture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon ElastiCache?

It's hard to scale down if you need to, and the lowest scale is a bit pricey for smaller organizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One click relieve from operational overhead !!"
5/5
What do you like best about Amazon ElastiCache?

What I love the most out of ElastiCache is no more operational overhead, my team don't have to manage anything beyond configuring the instance types Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon ElastiCache?

Not anything right at the moment , but it would be nice if it scales where based on the usage rather than manually configuring instance types Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Elastic Cache Review"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Amazon ElastiCache?

AWS elastic cache helps the user boost web application performance by allowing them to obtain data faster from the in-memory cache. It reduces the database costs and thus the load on the backend Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon ElastiCache?

AWS Elastic Cache is very expensive and not easily affordable by everyone. The default TTL is infinity. We cannot limit the client from accessing data stores via the AWS console Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"AWS In-Memory Cache"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Amazon ElastiCache?

It has amazing performance and security features. It's amazingly scalable, and very easy to use when developing applications. You can very easily integrate and implement with your application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon ElastiCache?

Cache is stored in primary storage instead of secondary, which makes it a little time-consuming. The default configurations give it TTL as infinite. Being part of AWS infrastructure, the biggest drawback is the time-consuming nature of AWS Infrastructure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent for partitioning!"
5/5
What do you like best about Amazon ElastiCache?

It's basically the original redis while redis.io is a different product, not redis compatible without all its features. Elasticache has all redis features, and all the clients fully support it. It had great partitioning support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon ElastiCache?

Not much but a little bit expensive. Consider using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
