Amazon Elasticache helps us reduce databases load when there are read intensive workloads. Used Elasticache Redis to store the frequently accessed data retrieved from DB. Redis has Multi-AZ with auto-failover feature, which ensures data availability. It has key features such as read replicas, backup & restore. Web application used to hit the database every time in case of any read operations in RDS. By using ElastiCache, the application first queries ElastiCache to retrieve the data, which improves application performance. If the data is not available, it will read the data from DB and store it in ElastiCache. User session data can also be stored in Cache. It helps to make our application stateless.
