Who is AlgoSec Horizon pricing best suited for?

AlgoSec Horizon's pricing is best suited for mid-market to large enterprise organizations managing complex, multi-vendor firewall environments across hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure. G2 reviewers of AlgoSec Horizon are predominantly enterprise-segment users across financial services, banking, insurance, telecommunications, and IT services, industries with heavy compliance obligations under PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOX, and GDPR. These organizations derive the most value from AlgoSec Horizon's firewall policy automation, continuous compliance monitoring, and application-centric visibility at scale. G2 reviews of AlgoSec Horizon also show adoption among MSSPs and security consultancies managing multi-client firewall estates. Smaller organizations with limited firewall footprints may find the custom enterprise pricing of AlgoSec Horizon difficult to justify.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of AlgoSec Horizon?

AlgoSec Horizon's pricing structure on G2 shows no free tier or free trial listed. AlgoSec Horizon operates exclusively on custom enterprise quotes, meaning all access is paid and scoped per engagement. G2 data on AlgoSec Horizon indicates that certain advanced capabilities, including higher-tier modules like AppViz, business flow analysis, and additional firewall device licenses, require separate licensing beyond the base package. G2 reviewers note that core firewall analysis and compliance reporting are included in standard deployments, while features such as extended automation, MSSP bundling, and additional integrations carry extra cost. Prospective buyers should expect pricing of AlgoSec Horizon to scale with device count, module selection, and deployment complexity.

Is AlgoSec Horizon considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers of AlgoSec Horizon consistently rate it highly, with the majority awarding 4.5 to 5 stars, signaling strong satisfaction relative to cost. Multiple G2 users in banking, financial services, and insurance cite measurable ROI through rule cleanup at scale, audit preparation time cut from two weeks to half a day, and troubleshooting time reduced by roughly 60%. However, AlgoSec Horizon's pricing draws recurring criticism: several G2 reviewers flag it as expensive, note that advanced modules require additional licensing, and mention renewal price increases as a friction point. One reviewer explicitly noted the quote was on the expensive side, but value became clear post-deployment. Overall, G2 data positions AlgoSec Horizon as a premium investment that delivers for complex enterprise environments.

"Effective Firewall Cleanup with Algosec, but Needs Better Stability"
4/5
What do you like best about AlgoSec Horizon?

Algosec has proven to be a very effective tool for firewall cleanup activities, and I have been using it for this purpose for the past two years. The range of options and statistics it provides is quite good, though I have found that they are not always completely accurate. The monitoring features are also comprehensive, and I find the user interface to be especially user-friendly. Additionally, the tool is straightforward to deploy, which makes it even more convenient to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AlgoSec Horizon?

The main concerns I have with this tool are its occasional malfunctions and the fact that statistics are sometimes not visible. There are also communication problems with the Checkpoint firewall, as certain changes either do not appear in the tool or take a long time to show up. Even when our firewalls are configured identically, the tool still struggles to communicate with one of them. Additionally, there is a significant issue with integrating Microsoft Exchange Cloud relay, which we rely on for sending weekly firewall reports. This compatibility problem is a major drawback for the tool. The TAC support is not upto the mark as they don't have proper knowledge of the tool and they have very less senior TAC support members.
