## Airbyte Reviews
 ### 1. Powerful CDC, Scheduler with Seamless Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eugenio C. | Data Engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

I like using Airbyte as our main CDC tool to connect our production databases to the company’s main DWH. We also use it for batch files, Google Sheets, and APIs, which lets us trigger materializations with dbt. Overall, it helps us build end-to-end pipelines and keep a full picture of the process.

I also appreciate the idea that we can quickly modify connectors when needed. The source code is easy to navigate and adapt to our needs, which makes it easier to share data between processes and to plug and play. It’s also helpful that, if something fails, we can send alerts to Slack via an incorporated webhook. Deploying it locally was straightforward.

We still need to investigate how user authentication works, so not everyone is able to change connections and so on.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

I’d love to see richer metadata support, similar to what dbt offers with its data catalog. It would also be great to be able to manage connections, sources, and destinations with Terraform.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Airbyte to build end-to-end CDC pipelines and to track our processes. It gives us a full picture of what’s happening, makes it easy to retry from specific failure points, and lets us set up alerts. It also helps us keep track of schema changes, so we can act in time when something might break tables.

 ### 2. Flexible, Intuitive Open-Source Pipelines

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hardik S. | Marketing Expert, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Open-Source & Flexibility: Airbyte OSS stands out for its open-source approach. It's both free and self-hostable, providing full control over data and infrastructure while eliminatiing vendor lock-in.
Ease of Use: For standard data pipeline (such as PostgreSQL to snowflake), the UI is very intuitive. We can deploy new pipelines in minutes, with no coding required.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

We would appreciate clearer, transparent pricing for all plan tiers and an integrated cost calculator, which are currently missing from the platform.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Airbyte solves data silos by centralizing sources like Salesforce, Google Ads, and databases into a unified data warehouse, enabling a single source of truth for analytics and BI. It replace our fragile custom scripts, reducing engineering time and allowing our team to focus on higher-value initiatives. The platform's vast connector library and ability to quickly build custom connectors, enables us to consolidate data from unique sources not supported by other ELT tools.

 ### 3. Flexible and Cost-Friendly Data Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Relax mind m.

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

I love that Airbyte makes it incredibly simple to pull data from multiple sources into our warehouse, allowing the unified analytics to run smoothly. Its capacity to handle most of the syncing tasks without requiring me to build custom pipelines is a massive relief. The product effectively removes the headache of manually building and maintaining connectors by ensuring that most sources work right out of the box. The scheduled syncs are particularly helpful as they keep our warehouse data updated without the need for manual intervention, thus enhancing the reliability and speed of our data pipeline. Setting up new connectors and monitoring syncs is also straightforward thanks to its clean, intuitive UI. Clear logs play a vital role in allowing me to quickly debug any sync issues, significantly cutting down on troubleshooting time so that I can focus more on utilizing the data. The initial setup of Airbyte was remarkably smooth, taking just a few minutes to spin up and adding the first connectors required minimal effort. When we transitioned from custom Python pipelines and some usage of Fivetran to Airbyte, we gained more control and reduced costs, which was a significant advantage. Overall, it's a solid, flexible, and cost-friendly solution.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Some connectors can be a bit buggy, especially the less-used ones. Additionally, handling large syncs sometimes requires tuning to avoid timeouts. I would also appreciate faster support responses when something breaks.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Airbyte to pull data from multiple sources into our warehouse, eliminating the need for custom pipelines. It simplifies connector setup, syncs data efficiently, and provides a reliable and faster data pipeline, freeing me from manual efforts and allowing more focus on data utilization.

 ### 4. Rapid Deployment & Powerful Syncs, But Pricing Transparency Needed

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jahid H. | SEO Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Airbyte Flex enables rapid deployment in any environment—on-premises, cloud, hybrid, or multi-cloud—within days instead of months.
It provides our data teams with full sovereignty over data, ensuring regulatory compliance and enhanced security, which is crucial for sensitive or regulated workloads.
Recent platform upgrades have accelerated data sync speeds by 5–10x, particularly for connectors targeting Snowflake and BigQuery, significantly improving performance and freshness of analytics.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

We would appreciate more transparent and detailed pricing options, along with a dedicated cost calculator to help teams plan budgets more confidently.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Airbyte streamlines deployment, allowing organizations to activate new data pipelines quickly and with less maintenance overhead.
It supports cloud-managed upgrades and centralized policy enforcement without requiring inbound firewall rules or moving sensitive data offsite, reducing operational complexity and risk.

 ### 5. Flexible Pricing Empowers Seamless Data Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ankur A. | Founder's Office - Growth & Strategy, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

The capacity-based pricing model is a huge win for us. We don’t have to nickel-and-dime every new connector or worry that adding a few more syncs will blow up our budget. As long as we stay within our volume, we’re free to experiment with new sources and pipelines, which makes it much easier to support new use cases without going through a long cost-approval cycle each time.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

So far, we really haven’t had any real issues to call out. Once the pipelines are set up, Airbyte just runs in the background and doesn’t need much attention.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously, our operational data was siloed across multiple SaaS tools and internal systems, and getting a consistent end-to-end view meant a lot of manual CSV exports and spreadsheet stitching. With Airbyte, we have a standardized way to ingest data from all these sources into our warehouse on a regular schedule, so downstream dashboards and analytics are always working off a single, trusted model. The capacity-based pricing also removes a lot of friction, we can onboard new sources and increase sync frequency within our volume without having to constantly renegotiate per-connector or per-row costs.

 ### 6. Data pipelines without pricing headaches

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yulija K. | SaaS Product Growth Marketer , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Airbyte Flex finally gives our marketing team room to experiment. Instead of worrying about per-connector or per-row pricing, we can freely plug in new ad platforms, marketing tools, and experiments Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, CRM, attribution tools, you name it. We can increase sync frequency during key campaigns, spin up new sources to test channels, and enrich our customer journeys, all without turning every idea into a budget approval process. It lets us focus on ROAS and funnel performance not on data pipeline costs.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Nothing meaningful so far. From a marketing perspective, the best part is that it just works. Once our sources and destinations are configured, campaign and channel data keeps flowing into our warehouse without much hassle.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to struggle with fragmented marketing data spread across ad platforms, email tools, CRM, and web analytics, which meant constant CSV exports and manual spreadsheet stitching. Now all of that campaign and customer data flows automatically into our warehouse, so we can unify spend and performance across channels, connect campaigns to pipeline and revenue, and keep dashboards up to date without repetitive manual work.

 ### 7. Airbyte Flex with hybrid deployment is cool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucas M. | Project Manager and Coach, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

The hybrid architecture is brilliant - we get all the convenience of a cloud platform while our data never leaves our infrastructure. The capacity-based pricing is refreshingly transparent compared to the unpredictable per-gigabyte models we dealt with before. Having everything unified in one platform - data movement, orchestration, and transformation - has eliminated so much tool sprawl and complexity for our team.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

While the platform is robust, the initial setup and configuration of the hybrid architecture requires more technical expertise than a pure SaaS solution. The learning curve for teams transitioning from traditional ETL tools can be steep initially. Documentation could be more comprehensive for certain edge cases in multi-region deployments.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Airbyte solved our data sovereignty nightmare - we can now move fast on AI initiatives without compliance teams blocking us at every turn. The predictable pricing means we can actually forecast our data infrastructure costs as we scale. Most importantly, we've consolidated five different tools into one platform, which has dramatically reduced maintenance overhead and given us consistent performance across all our data pipelines.

 ### 8. Airbyte Flex don't break and a huge help for our data team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Austin H. | Head of Content, Financial Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Airbyte gives us complete ownership of our data infrastructure without the operational headaches. We are currently using Airbyte Flex. What stands out is the data sovereignty: the features work identically across all deployment modes, making it straightforward to scale while staying compliant with GDPR, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards.
The platform is refreshingly hands-off once pipelines are configured. Also, we spend minimal time on maintenance and the support is great.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Honestly nothing major to call out. The platform has been stable and reliable for our use cases.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Airbyte eliminates data silos by consolidating information from sources like Postgres and a few SaaS tools into Snowflake. This creates a unified source of truth that our analytics team rely on for decision-making.
The cost structure(capacity based pricing) is also a major win for us.

 ### 9. Airbyte is easy to maintain with great price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emma B. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Airbyte gives us complete control over our data infrastructure. Its flexible deployment options, whether cloud, on-premise, or hybrid allow us to meet strict security and compliance requirements while maintaining full ownership of our pipelines. We especially appreciate that the same functionality applies across all environments, making it easy to scale and stay compliant with standards like GDPR and HIPAA.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Honestly, there hasn’t been anything significant that we dislike so far. Airbyte has been reliable and largely hands-off once pipelines are running.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Airbyte helps us eliminate data silos by consolidating data from multiple sources like Salesforce, Google Ads, and other SaaS applications into a warehouse. This creates a single source of truth for our analytics and business intelligence team.
We are also planning to start their new data activation(Reverse ETL) feature.

 ### 10. Moved all our marketing data smoothly in BigQuery

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arina K. | Chief Marketing Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

The ability to bring all our marketing data into one place is the biggest win. We can pull data from tools like google ads, meta & hubspot into the warehouse without needing lots of custom engineering. That gives the marketing team a complete view of campaigns and customer journeys.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

New or niche marketing tools sometimes require extra setup and fine-tuning of connector settings. It’s not a major issue, but it does mean we occasionally need help from the data team.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scattered marketing data across ad platforms, email tools, and crm systems used to make it hard to see the full funnel. Now, all that data lands in the warehouse, where we can build dashboards as per our needs.

 ### 11. Move the data easily with Airbyte

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gediminas P. | Head of Business Intelligence, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

We have considered using Airbyte after few unsuccessful attempts with other approaches while syncing data between legacy systems and new data warehouse. We found it very easy to setup, monitor and maintain. Currently we are running 20 different data sync connections and it still cost less then coding even a one application by ourself. Top benefits of using Airbyte:
1. easy to start using it,
2. many connectors,
3. monitoring in the place,
4. cost saving,
5. trusted service.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Sometimes there are lack of documentation. Some connectors could be developed faster.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to sync the data between legacy but still i nuse core system and new tech data warehouse. After processing the data it is synced to other systems, such as Elastic search, CRM, etc.

 ### 12. Very functional and easy to handle but too many problems

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Axel L. | Data analyst and engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

- Easy to understand interface
- Easy to get started
- Good documentation
- Competitive pricing
- Open source
- Possibility to switch to local

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

- Too many errors in data synchronization:
In recent months, I had to create about 5 Airbyte tickets because I had very problematic issues with the data extracted by Airbyte.
I have 8 different clients that I switched to Airbyte Cloud over the past year, and I am very mixed because I have lost credibility with them.
To illustrate, I regularly had data not being retrieved on Pinterest and TikTok connections, without any error message or anything. I had to do a full refresh for it to finally come through.
- The updates made on the connectors often have issues: for example, a month ago there was an update on the Airtable connector. As a result, I no longer had any data coming through, and it was blocking for my clients' business.
- Customer service takes days or even weeks to respond.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This allowed me to extract my clients' data at a lower cost compared to Fivetran.

**Official Response from Tanmay Sarkar:**

> We apologize for the inconvenience you've experienced with data synchronization and connector updates. We are continuously working to improve our service and address these issues. We appreciate your feedback and will strive to provide better support and more reliable performance.

 ### 13. Pricey but effective

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean S. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

I like that they have so many connectors. It's also very easy to use and set up.

I love that it's so popular and has a freemium model, because that means there are a lot of tutorials on the internet for me to use.

I use this tool every day, in conjunction with another tool, to get all my Amazon API data into a database that I use.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Lack of depth on Amazon, as well as price.

They don't go "deep" in every connector the way some companies do, but what they lack in depth, they have in breadth.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing me to connect to API data that I wouldn't have otherwise.

**Official Response from Tanmay Sarkar:**

> We're thrilled to hear that Airbyte has been instrumental in helping you connect to API data for your daily tasks. We understand your feedback about the depth of the Amazon connector and pricing, and we're continuously working to enhance our offerings to better serve our users. Your input is valuable to us as we strive to deliver effective solutions.

**Reviewed by:** Nikita S. | Senior Specialist Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

1. How easy it is to create a pipeline
2. Good Documentation
3. Good amount of connectors and destinations

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

1. Usage is not very transparent it goes up and down without explaination
2. The schema created in the destination is not very easy to read.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a CRM platform where users can see all the data generated from POS OR ecommerce , for any other data source we wanted to put all the ETL workloads pipeline separate and were using Airbyte for same

**Official Response from Tanmay Sarkar:**

> It's great to hear that Airbyte is helping you separate ETL workloads for different data sources and integrate them with your CRM platform. We're committed to providing a seamless and efficient data pipeline solution for our users.

 ### 16. ETL platform with wide range of connectors

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Open-source and extensible -- if a connector for a data source doesn't exist, you can easily build your own with the low-code connector builder. Cloud version not too expensive as long as you manage the connectors well.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Setting up the open-source version can be a little tricky, but worth the time investment. For some connectors (ex. Facebook/Meta Ads), paid cloud version is the only way to go, as API access for individual users are extremely limited while Airbyte Cloud allows easy setup via OAuth. Cost estimates for using cloud version not too easy to formulate because it's based on tokens

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No need to manually write code to create data pipelines, easily set up pipelines in minutes

 ### 17. Effortless Data Integration with Flexible Customization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

 ### 21. Customizable and powerfull

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kacper S. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

It is very customizable, other ETL tools (no-code low-code) does not offer such flexibility - eg. building own connectors. Pricing model is also very fair in my opinion.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

it would be useful to have more tutorial materials - explanations included next to workflow.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We transfer our internal agency data (tasks, time tracking) to big query. We use it also for clients marketing data integration.

 ### 22. Easy to use, but Airbyte Cloud can get a bit pricey.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Like any EL tool, Airbyte allows you to spend less time building EL pipelines and more time focusing on what you actually need to get done. It was super easy to set up, and basically runs itself.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the data we're using with Airbyte Cloud, the monthly costs have ended up being much more than we expected. We'll either have to switch to the on-prem version or to an EL tool that charges per modified row.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Airbyte helps us get our data into our data warehouse quickly and efficiently with very little setup or maintenance involved.

**Official Response from Tanmay Sarkar:**

> Thank you for your review. We're pleased to hear that Airbyte has helped you streamline your data integration process.

 ### 24. Best tool for data engineering

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mahesh B. | data scientist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

The best thing about airbyte is easy transferring of data. There are lots of sources and destinations where we can transfer the data between the different types of databases. And we can perform transformations through dbt for data visualization and analytics. And one more thing we can create our own connectors to transfer data between the databases.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Sometimes for some sources like Google sheets it fails to fetch the data.At that time we don't know the exact issue but in our case it is failed to fetch data sometimes. And for some connectors, we have to align with devips team to allow airbyte ips to access our databases, sometimes we feel insecure and also the integration issues are unknown without having deep knowledge about how to allow these airbyte ips to our in house databases. These are some challanges with airbyte

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Airbyte is solving the data transfer with ease from different sources to different destinations which ultimately solves the time issues. If you want to perform any etl tasks it's quick and easy. It is saving time no need to maintain code for these data transfers. To conclude, if you want to perform any etl tasks we can connect to any data source and perform transformations and we can load that into destinations. In our case , we have Google sheets as a source and destinations as postgres. And we MySQL as a source , Google analytics and my destination is postgres.
If you connect any source by default it will show all the tables , we can customise in selecting tables and the columns to fetch or we can perform transformations through dbt

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Felix G. | Freelance Data Enginer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Airbyte since it entered into the game of Data tools, has proven to be a disruptive actor in this field, slowly but strongly solidifying its position in the market by incorporating more and more features every month into its platform, by adding a huge amount of connectors that allows developers to build efficient and robust processes to their data pipelines.

Recently Airbyte has added support to pipelines built with Python, by introducing PyAirbyte to their data tools offer, this allows us, developers, to develop our customized connectors and then connect them to different data pipelines.

Besides the possibility to continuously contribute to the development of the features of the tool, it allows to developers to be always connected and updated through the Slack channel, where every developer interested in contributing to the project can take part.

Airbyte is a wise choice for any company or Data professional looking for a robust and reliable ETL tool for their tool stack.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

So far no dislikes about using the tool for my data workloads, maybe one feature to get better is to keep the connector’s documentation updated. Frequently I haven’t found proper documentation for some of the connectors that are already implemented, and including some code samples on how to use them won’t hurt anybody!

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the issues I faced before the adoption of Airbyte as a Data Tool for my project workloads was not counting with an open-source ETL tool that is reliable and that has continuous support. That is a remarkable thing for me as a freelance developer. One of the biggest benefits for me of using Airbyte, has been counting with a reliable, robust, and open-source tool for my projects with different clients.

Reliability is a cornerstone of Airbyte. Its capability to manage connections and connectors with Terraform provides administrators with peace of mind, allowing for predictable and consistent tool deployment and configuration. The ability to carry out deployments with Helm and Terraform significantly simplifies the onboarding process.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

However, Airbyte is not without its imperfections. One notable limitation worth mentioning is the inability to configure pod resources in the open-source version of Airbyte via the web interface. For some organizations, this may be a drawback, although future updates are expected to address this issue.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Airbyte excels in solving one of the most pressing issues in data management: the extraction and consolidation of information from multiple sources. With this tool, we've successfully extracted data from sales systems, CRMs, administrative platforms, and accounting systems spanning more than 27 countries. This has allowed us to generate valuable insights for our company and our managers.

 ### 34. A simple no code solution to move data from A to B

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Airbyte provides a tool that works out of the box with 4 easy steps, install, setup source, setup target, connect source and target.
Recent additional feature for selecting columns to move is very handy and easy to use. This reduces a lot of unwanted data being moved.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

As an Airbyte open source user, when things dont work, it's frustrating to troubleshoot. Last year, I had a challenge to install, and documentation was not up-to-date and it's hard to get support from community. It's very rare though, as we don't install new instance every day. Once it's installed and running, it keeps on running until next major upgrade.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Moving data from our transactional databases into data warehouse in a quick manner. Airbyte is the right solution for this problem.
With more connectors being added, we can have assurance that we can connect Airbyte with latest platforms in the market.

 ### 35. A tool to make data integration easy and quick.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

AirByte is an amazing tool. It provided a clean and seemless UI to create ELT pipelines. It makes integration of data sources and applying logic so easy that a person with just a overview of the technology can use without going deeper in the technical part.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

I think that documentation can be better. It will be very helpful which creating complex pipelines.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AirByte helps us to integrate our data sources like our various client databases and then applying the required business logic to get insights of them. It makes our work easy and faster.

 ### 36. Airbyte: Simplifying Data Integration with BigQuery

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Airbyte's connection to BigQuery simplifies the process of moving and transforming data into Google's cloud-based data warehouse. This feature allows users to easily set up data pipelines, transferring information from different sources, making necessary changes, and then loading it into BigQuery for analysis and reporting.

This integration significantly reduces the manual work and complexities usually involved in moving and organizing data for analysis in BigQuery. It makes the process more straightforward, enabling users to focus on analyzing the data rather than spending time on the technical aspects of data integration.

By providing a reliable and dedicated connector for BigQuery, Airbyte helps users leverage the capabilities of Google's data warehouse more efficiently and effectively, facilitating smoother data management and analysis.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

No enough control on job execution and retry - we need to use orchestrator to fill the gap

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Airbyte solves the challenges of complex and error-prone data integration by providing a user-friendly platform with pre-built connectors. It ensures data consistency, automates tedious tasks, and offers scalability, ultimately streamlining data processes and empowering users to focus on valuable data analysis.

 ### 37. Moving the data with Airbyte

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew N. | Senior Java Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

The airbyte provides you an ability to move your data from one source to another, even on a regular basis. We get the data from PostgreSQL instance and moved it to BigQuery, and we are doing it every day using the cron job. After doing initial setup, you don`t need to do anything with airbyte, everything working as a charm.
- Also, a small but very nice feature is to set up slack notifications.
- It is a cost saving solution, with wide range of connectors

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Well, after that we tried to move data from the Mongo database and got an error: The identifier is not in the correct format. But as far as I can see the product is very well supported and I'm pretty sure this issue will be fixed in the future.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Moving the data from on place to another on a regular basis

 ### 38. Best connectors and pipelines for your ELT/ETL process

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manikant K. | Data Scientist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Simplifying the complex process for ETL/ELT, data streamline and pipelines. It has a large number of pre-built connectors where developers can streamline the data pipeline within mins.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Nothing as of now, but still can expand to large data connectors.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As part of hacktoberfest and hashnode airbyte hackathons, I have used airbyte to connect the data from various sources like Google Sheets, Postgres DB and pipeline the process in a simplified manner.

 ### 39. Operate data transfers at scale while maintaining full control over data privacy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

- Control of the infrastructure over which the solution is deployed, enabling us to scale to hundreds of flows very quickly.
- An API enabling us to automate most of our tasks.
- An active community receptive to roadmap changes & to user feedback with constant evolution and repriorisation of our painpoints
- Full control over the database of the backend service, offering powerfull monitoring capabilities
- Free with no paid features for self hosted instances
- Complete documentation and easy setup
- Big efforts on a user friendly API

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

- Missing workspace management and navigation (only via API)
- Missing IAM on workspaces (links to the above)
- Some random 500 internal errors from time to time

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Airbyte to operate data sensible flows is crucial for our clients, especially for PII data. Maintaining control and ownership on the infrastructure hosting the service is a crucial winning point vs other market solutions such as Funnel or Fivetran and accelerates and simplifies greatly the our role in answering all of our clients questions and problems regarding GDPR compliance.
Monitoring is way easier, specially when scaling to hundred of flows for various use cases because you have access to the database. Maintenance is also easier with bulk operations made easy.
Replicating methodologies via API automations enables us to create huge synergies for our use cases

 ### 40. very good choice for small tech companies

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marco C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

having data from external services in a data warehouse is a standard issue for a lot of companies and for some reason there isn't a single quick way to sort it out.

we chose the open source version of airbyte primarily for the alpha connectors (unavailable in the managed version) and because we're able to deploy it on our k8s clusters and "the backend and data team" (literally two people) work closely together.

deployment and general reliability are very straightforward, and once a connector is set up and starts syncing, it just works.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

many of the connectors are in alpha state and one is generally forced to switch to the open source version if one of those is needed. a few connectors prioritise snowflake compatibility over bigquery (there are a few issues concerning the handling of dates), but everything being open source, it's straightforward to deploy your own patched version.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

as mentioned above, we have a few external services which generate data that we wanted to import into our single data warehouse. airbyte does just that, quietly, as promised. much better than a bunch of custom scripts running as cronjobs.

 ### 41. The new standard for data engineering pipeines

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

I love how simple the GUI is to use, and how helpful the octavia-cli is for managing airbyte in multiple environments (dev, prod). Having all our connectors in one place is incredibly helpful, and having such a vast amount of connectors at our fingertips saves us time from creating these things from scratch.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

We manage airbyte on our own hosted EC2, so there is a fair amount of time associated with maintaining that and getting it set up with a proper CI/CD pipeline. It's a maturing product, so not all the connectors are 100% reliable yet, but they're getting closer every day. I do wish that incremental loads allows for a lookback window (i.e. load everything from the latest date minus 15 minutes onward) to help them be more reliable.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to move our data from SQL Server & Salesforce into Snowflake, which allows us to quickly build our data warehouse in one place that's easily accessible to everyone.

 ### 42. Best tool for bulk ingestion

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sourabh V. | Senior Data Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

We can create pipeline easily using airbyte tool.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

In my process i have not any roadblock.by which I dislike airbyte

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using this tool for ingesting data through sql to s3 with scd

 ### 43. Best Data Pipeline Tool Around

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

We've been with Airbyte for 18 months now and at the time of adopting the product, their long tail on the amount of connectors as well as their consumption-based pricing made them not only the best product for our company but also the by far the most cost-effective. Fast forward to today and they continue to rapidly evolve the product and add even more connectors to the offering.

Their set-up wizard makes it incredible easy to set-up a new pipeline in minutes. With the added ability to have syncs run on pre-defined schedules or cron expressions as well as webhooks to push failures notifications directly to Slack, we feel very comfortable with the set-it and forget-it mentality and can be easily notified if something comes up.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Can't think of any at this time. We're happy that the product is continually evolving.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easily move data between services

 ### 44. Quick and easy to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Airbyte is is very quick to get setup and straight forward to use. We went from hacked together bash scripts to having Airbyte handle our ETL processes in a matter of hours. It supports a large number of sources and destinations which are generally very easy to configure.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Open source/self hosted doesn't currently have any user management solution.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ETL process from our production databases (MongoDB) and customer support tools (Zendesk, Intercom) into our data data warehouse (BigQuery). This has enabled our data team to report on all aspects of the business and if something is missing, it's just a few clicks to get it added.

 ### 45. Ease of doing data with Airbyte.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vishal B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Ease of use and rerunning EL jobs. Airbyte has most of the connectors needed to run the show.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

Maybe a few more options during EL process. Not sure what though

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping us reduce the TAT of getting data from client system to ours.

 ### 46. Simple and amazing product

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daksh S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Easy to use, and comes with a self-hosted option so you can try before you buy.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

No downsides as such. We've really enjoyed using Airbyte.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Airbyte makes it easy for us to sync our data across data sources. For eg: being a small team, we use Airtable as our sales CRM. However, it's usually difficult to perform complex analytics on this data directly on Airtable. Using Airbyte has allowed us to sync our CRM data from Airtable to Postgres, and now we can write SQL to query this data. Magical.

 ### 47. Airbyte is One of the Best EL(T) Tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohamed M. | Data Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

1. Community and support
2. Supports multiple sources and destinations
3. Easy to create new connectors (sources and destinations)
4. Supports Python and Java connectors

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

All the below are related to the open-source version of Airbyte:

1. No authentication layer
2. Frequent updates which are not backward compatible
3. Some times the pull request reviews for the open-source connectors take time

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Extracting data from third partities such as Zendes, Recurly, and more. Also it supports CSV load from S3 to the desired destination (Redshift, MySQL, PostgreSQL, ... etc).

 ### 48. One of the best open-source solution for data ingestion

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yanni I. | Head of Operations and Data, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

- Easy to setup, deploy and use
- Active community
- Many connectors available and also possibility to use no-code custom connector

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

- Some connections issue with Mongo Connector
- Dunno if it's still the case when modifying little things (like adding new table) in destination schema we need to reset all tables

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping me ingesting data from business tools into data warehouse.
I succeed to ingest CRM, Marketing automation, Paid ads, HR tools.
This data is actively used for reporting and dashboarding purposes

 ### 49. Just a little help from my friends!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Airbyte is great for ETL, it helps a lot to get information out of different sources in various APIs and centralize all of that data in one place to start working with our analysis and create dashboards to understand where we are and make decisions to take all the oportunities it presents to our organization.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

The problems it may have sometimes when you update a data source connector and the normalization creates different errors in the schema that you have to create the connection all over again.

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Create custom calls to different APIs and create those workflows to centralize in one database, as well as creating the tables ourselves. It saves us precious time!

 ### 50. Data transfer with a lot of connectors

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caroline B. | Inventory Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Airbyte?**

Its functionality has been precise to connect all the data channels and leave it in only one, its preparation process for each connector is well explained which makes the whole process easier to perform even if you are not an expert in coding.

**What do you dislike about Airbyte?**

During all this time of use I have not found any problems in the use of Airbyte

**What problems is Airbyte solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has been practical to use with reduced man hours from our ELT development giving us usable data in hours instead of weeks.
