## About Logically
Logically.app (formerly Afforai) is an award winning, all-in-one workspace for collaborative researching and writing. Many institutions worldwide have partnered with Logically to provide their students and researchers with an easy-to-use platform to manage references, conduct literature reviews, annotate files, take notes, and write papers. Logically is used globally by over 100,000 students, faculty, and researchers, including many at leading universities. With Logically, many institutions and organizations can: Allow students, faculty, and staff access to Logically Document Writer, for collaborative scientific writing. Logically offers single-click citations, automatic bibliographies, and support for LaTeX, tables, code blocks, and more. This would help institutions save costs by replacing tools like Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Overleaf, etc. Provide students, faculty, and staff access to Logically Reference Manager, where they can organize and manage their references as they write papers. This would help institutions save costs by replacing tools like Zotero, Mendeley, and EndNote with Logically. Allow researchers to read and annotate their papers in Logically File Annotator, which would significantly accelerate their reading and literature review process, replacing more expensive tools like Adobe Acrobat. Let researchers access Logically Research Assistant, an AI-powered scientific tool to help conduct efficient, citation-backed literature reviews while maintaining academic integrity. This replaces less specialized tools such as ChatGPT or Gemini. Here is an example of a university partnering with Logically to provide access to better learning while tremendously saving costs: https://afforai.com/nau

## Logically Reviews
  ### 1. Good start, bad end

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose Miguel V. | Profesor Adjunto, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Logically?**

Among the applications for academic use, Logically (formerly Afforai) started off on the right foot. It showed active development and continuously launched new features. Its research assistant, combined with the reference manager, was a convenient way to conduct bibliographic searches and initial literature analysis quickly and efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Logically?**

Currently, I am not using the application. For some time now, the actual development has stopped. They have tried to hide their situation by launching features that no one asks for, removing features, or taking away features from users who supported them in their initial funding with their LTD accounts. The support and connection with users moved to Reddit, where, if you inquire about issues or give a respectful opinion, they revoke your permissions to continue sharing on Reddit.

**What problems is Logically solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently, it does not solve any problems that other applications in the niche do not solve. Their models and master prompts have remained outdated and they only update them when they start raising funds with campaigns on Lifetime deals sites. Additionally, as a reference manager, it became unusable by removing the document title field and only leaving the file name field (this was pointed out on Reddit a couple of months ago; their solution was to ban the user who made it visible on Reddit).

  ### 2. Terrible experience at Logically

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc M. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Logically?**

The app logically is easily replaced by NotebookLM. Save yourself the money and use Google's free notebook LM. Affora AI aka Logically ... I had a terrible customer service experience with Logically. Raised prices from $10 to $15 to $30 per month for exactly the same service.

Did not tell customers via email.

Refused to give a refund.

**What do you dislike about Logically?**

Terrible user interface, not good search accuracy

**What problems is Logically solving and how is that benefiting you?**

nothing

  ### 3. How I wish I had this tool when I was at Medical School

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vikas P. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Logically?**

This is such an amazing resource for researchers from any field. I am a doctor and I can see how useful this tool would have been when I was a medical student, junior doctor, researcher and surgical trainee. Both in terms of writing professional manuscripts for the peer-reviewed literature or updating on recent advances in medicine. I am going to get a licence for my son who will be starting University this September as I'm sure he will put it to very good use. Well done and thanks to all at Afforai

**What do you dislike about Logically?**

There is a tiny bit of a learning curve. It may be possible to change the output style of the references but it wasn't clearly evident.

**What problems is Logically solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping abreast of the latest medical literature.
Preparing manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed medical literature.

  ### 4. Dishonest business practices and quality issues make Logically a no-go for professional businesses

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jurgen P. | Director Strategic Initiatives and Marketing Communications (TME), Management Consulting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Logically?**

Afforai/Logically removed the workable credit system, sold “Unlimited” as including reasoning models, and then asked LTD holders to subscribe for the same. That’s a material deviation from the LTD promise and the mapping clause.

**What do you dislike about Logically?**

We've dropped Logically and use other research tools now that provide better customer support and honor their commitments to purchase agreements.

**What problems is Logically solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall, Afforai is a game-changer when it comes to researching, summarizing, and translating information. Its powerful AI algorithms empower users to access and comprehend vast amounts of data effortlessly. With Afforai by our side, we can navigate complex tasks with ease and achieve our goals more efficiently.

  ### 5. Intuitive design and quick research, but limited functionality

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marian Z. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Logically?**

I like the intuitive design and speed of Logically. The connection to scientific databases and the API is also very well done.

**What do you dislike about Logically?**

The range of functions could be larger, for example in the area of deep research. An agent system for deeper research or correction or writing of articles would also be cool.

**What problems is Logically solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Logically, I quickly find new sources and get summaries to identify the ones relevant to me.

  ### 6. from a gem to charcoal...

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frederic B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Logically?**

the interface is really good for output. you have clearly a link and citation to the source making it usable for professional research. it really reduces the risk of uncontrolled hallucination which make me confident to use it at research assistant. but...

**What do you dislike about Logically?**

company which gain their founding with early adopters offering lifetime deal and now they are well established, they destroy those account without notification. this is not reliable, don't invest time using the tool

**What problems is Logically solving and how is that benefiting you?**

analysing complex regulations and standards

  ### 7. AI-Powered Research Assistant

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark D. | Business Consultant, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Logically?**

The ability to quickly summarize, compare, and translate information from large volumes of documents of different tyes (e.g. PDFs, websites, EPUBs, etc).

Load up your files and the AI uses them as a knowledge base you can questions and use to help you write articles.

**What do you dislike about Logically?**

It's a simple thing, but I'd like to be able to pin open the left sidebar, I've a widescreen monitor so it doesn't take up space for me.

**What problems is Logically solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logically helps with reasearch and writing, rather than spending time trying to find information in docs you can ask the AI to find it for you.

  ### 8. Afforai is a SCAM

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Publishing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Logically?**

The main difference between Afforai and its competitors is the large database of research papers, which make it useful when researching with credibility.

**What do you dislike about Logically?**

It's extremely expensive. Worse, they altered my cloud amount, reducing it by a vast quantity compared to what I purchased. They also limited my plan to lower quality AI systems. I feel scammed by this company. They are only into profiting at all costs but insult users with how they limit features you PAID FOR.

**What problems is Logically solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me navigate a large databe of research papers quickly. I needed this for many years.

  ### 9. Afforai facilitates the generation of new projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin Richard F. | Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Logically?**

Varrious options are available for generating new research projects, AI powered idea development helps to streamline the project focus and easily implement new methods into workflows. I use it every day, althogh only availble as browse application I can easily integrate it into office applications as MS Word. Customer support came up with a special offer, since the student account was not available in my country

**What do you dislike about Logically?**

It would be great, if pdfs could be imported directly by drag and drop. The export function for the report generations module is currntly not working.

**What problems is Logically solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Afforai solves the problem of organizing my papers into folders and easilz finding relevant information I read once using the different search tools. Other reference managers are vastly failing, when it comes to a reliable in-paper search machine.

  ### 10. fantastic!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aristotle Q. | minister, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Logically?**

I have been trying out different companies and Afforai so far has been the best. I have many books and I upload them through pdf/doc and I use them to learn, summarize and connect them. I love afforai and how it is layed out. I use afforai often for personal use.

**What do you dislike about Logically?**

I think the UI could look better. I think the organizational method could be improved but it is a lot better than a lot of the other companies out there.

**What problems is Logically solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love learning things. I have a lot of books that I have read and I love being able to summarize them and use them for gaining deeper insights. I also use afforai for new books when I don't have the time to read the whole book but I just want to get the summary.
