"The goto CRM platform for starters"
4/5
What do you like best about ActiveCollab?

The interface is easy to use. The learning curve is not very steep. Spend only 1-2 hours to get started easily without any hassle. The separation between tasks and discussions is very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ActiveCollab?

The platform is half CRM and half issue board, hence it is jack of all and master of none. The main focus should be either on CRM or issue board and the other thing can be presented as an addon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Project Creation is easy, Task creation, and Task List Creation is easy and simple, you can get any type of reports, be it resource-based or project-based, this tool covers it all Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ActiveCollab?

It's not UX friendly at Project Management tools like Gantt/Timeline, though it creates it, but its extremely hard to follow it. Rest, everything is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good software for tracking scrum tasks, but with some quirks"
4/5
What do you like best about ActiveCollab?

It's a great tool for tracking our project management tasks as part of our weekly scrums. I can see what everyone is working on in my sprint, add notes, track time, and categorize it appropriately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ActiveCollab?

I wish Active Collab would learn the proper categories for each task. I find that I have to switch back and forth a lot since I work with a lot of different categories. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great project management platform"
4.5/5
What do you like best about ActiveCollab?

The way projects are organized makes information easy to access for both internal and external partners. Tasks, discussions and notes are all clearly delineated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ActiveCollab?

While this is a great platform, it can be difficult to manage all of the uploaded files. Having a "files" area where every attachment uploaded automatically appears is great, but the ability to sort them by type would be very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good time tracking, hard to search and run past reports"
3.5/5
What do you like best about ActiveCollab?

We use ActiveCollab primarily for time tracking. I like that you can assign a task as non-billable or billable by default. It's also easy to see what hours you've tracked and where those hours were tracked to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ActiveCollab?

A lot of my job involves quoting future projects, and I like to look at past project time reports to help with this. I find that really difficult to do in ActiveCollab's new interface. I sometimes need to pull a particularly old project, possibly several years old, from a list of hundreds of projects. I may not know the exact name of it. From there, I need a list of the time entries. I use the legacy time report to do this, but it's not easy.

I also wish that ActiveCollab supported assigning different billing rates at the project level. For example, I have an internal project that runs at a discounted billing rate. I bill as a web designer. I wish that the web designer rate could change on that project instead of remembering to bill a different rate every time. Or, if a project could have a default billing rate set, that would be easier too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One of the best project Tool"
5/5
What do you like best about ActiveCollab?

It's effortless to use. It didn't take a long time to adapt to the platform. It has all the features needed for a perfect project management system. We were able to plan ahead of all of our tasks and assign them with deadlines and also to implement sub tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ActiveCollab?

Nothing yet to dislike. I will update if there is a problem. So far, so good. and for the improvemtn I think they should bit more improve their user interfaces. It didnt affect me but its someting to think about in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use Project Management tool"
5/5
What do you like best about ActiveCollab?

Keeping all the communications in a single thread. There's no need for losing an email from a back and forth conversation. Also, the files upload are all in high resolution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ActiveCollab?

The timer for timetracking on each task is inaccurate. And it doesn't translate to data-driven analysis. Also, it kinda cluttered in terms of tagging and organizing each tasks per period. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"It's okay and functional but there are a lot of bugs"
3.5/5
What do you like best about ActiveCollab?

I like the look. It's very modern and clean. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ActiveCollab?

There are so many bugs. From time allocations not loading in workload view (which they took forever to roll out). When searching for a project, old and completed projects clog up the autofill results so it's hard to find what you're looking for quickly. Most recently, we have tasks acting like they have dependencies when they in fact, do not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
