In using the email verification, there were emails that were categorized as "UNKNOWN"that other email verification platforms were able to correctly identify. Our application required up to 5 verifications to be done in a short frame of time - we could only send 3 verification requests per second without the platform returning an error - so we had to sleep our application (and delay the UI) for a second after 3 verification attempts in a window of time. This to add to the unexpected doubling in price that was done for some reason - we didn't find out about it until they threatened to disable our API key, as we have spending limits set on our card. Subsequently, we had to find a new platform to replace this one within a moments notice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I subscribed to the IP Geolocation API and are using it daily in our web app to detect users from different continents. I like how easy it is to integrate it and I also love the "Live Test" option straight from the dashboard. I could immediately see the results I'd get before even subscribing. The actual integration in our product was also as simple as copy-pasting the provided code example, straight from the Dashboard.

Also, initially I had mistakenly subscribed to a different API product which I didn't need. Once I contacted support I got almost immediate reply and was issued a refund immediately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It can possibly have a somewhat better UX when it comes to allowing users to subscribe to a specific API product. Since they have a lot of different APIs with different names (which is amazing by itself), it may sometimes become confusing for someone which product are they looking at on the screen. The rates for each service can be a bit confusing, as they are charged per service. It would be interesting to have more flexible rates on demand for each user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The developer-oriented documentation is great, with examples in common languages. I was up and running in almost no time! Because I can license exactly what services I need, Abstract API is also very cost effective for my startup. As our needs evolve, I will likely pick up more of the services they offer. The API offers a number of solutions that make SaaS services so easy. Want to automatically set your customer's location? There's an API fo that. Want to automatically load public holidays in your customers' locations? There's an API for that.

Simple sandbox to use on the website and the API is straightforward to implement into a web application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
