"Big Time-Saver for Data Extraction, but Setup and Review UI Need Work"
3.5/5
What do you like best about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

It was able to eliminate manual data entry, drastically cut down document processing times, and accurately extract text, numbers, and handwriting from uploaded materials. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

The initial setup was difficult. Some of the more advanced features require technical skills, and the marketplace can feel quite overwhelming. The review interface is also laggy at times and there’s no autosave, which makes the experience frustrating. On top of that, I’ve heard the cost is quite high. "Accurate OCR with a Steep Learning Curve"
4/5
What do you like best about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

I think the best thing about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing is that it's the most accurate out of all the tools I've tried. There are way fewer typos with it, which I really like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

It's too expensive. I think it's too expensive. That part, I think, we could maybe reduce the price or something like that. It takes them a little bit of time to understand how it works. The learning curve is a little bit stiff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlining Document Workflows: An In-Depth Look at ABBYY Vantage's Power"
4.5/5
What do you like best about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

ABBYY provides consistently reliable and highly accurate table extraction, maintaining the original structure of documents. This makes it particularly well-suited for handling contracts, invoices, and multi-page tabular files. Its seamless integration with CLM platforms like Icertis ICI helps to simplify the process of importing extracted fields and line items directly into contract workflows. The product is user-friendly, comes with thorough documentation, and is supported by ABBYY’s responsive assistance whenever any issues occur. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

One significant drawback with ABBYY is that the document training process—especially when creating custom patterns to manage unclear text or special characters—can occasionally freeze or become unresponsive partway through. If progress hasn't been saved manually, this forces users to start over, which can be particularly frustrating during time-sensitive projects involving several documents. Although using the dedicated save button for patterns helps reduce repeated data loss, the absence of a strong autosave feature remains a concern. Overall, while ABBYY is effective at improving recognition, this area would greatly benefit from more dependable session recovery in future updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust, Reliable, and User-Friendly OCR Solution"
4/5
What do you like best about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

ABBYY can provide robust solution with wide range of installation and integration capabilities. This accelerates the development and greatly reduce the deployment efforts when bringing the solution to production. The OCR engines from ABBYY are the most reliable and stable option. ABBYY provided also user friendly interface which helps the developer to be more engaged to the tasks and delivers great solutions that motivate the end-user to use ABBYY almost everyday. The Customer support is very responsive to my tickets and most of them can be solved via direct responses or quick meeting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

However, I'm still disappointed with ABBYY, especially ABBYY Vantage in rolling out new features. There are still tickets open and the documentation on how the scripted rules should be combined is NOT available. Furthermore the out-of-the-box skills are not easy to maintain (for example upgrade from Technology Core 2.0 to 2.4 is NOT easy via Advanced Designer). There is also no updates on improving the Machine Learning Capability of ABBYY FlexiCapture, the On-Prem IDP solution from ABBYY. I personally really love ABBYY FC, but since the start of AI tools, ABBYY FC is falling behind. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

Sometimes the document skills aren’t perfect. Creating tables if some documents had inconsistencies with the number of lines in the document was a little confusing at first. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive UI and Effortless Setup Make ABBYY Vantage a Standout"
5/5
What do you like best about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

ABBYY stands out with one of the best UIs across competitors, making it intuitive and easy to navigate. The Vantage SaaS platform simplifies access and usage, allowing users to explore features with minimal setup. What I appreciate most is that it requires little to no prior IDP or OCR expertise to get started, enabling faster adoption and experimentation with intelligent automation. Also it provides easy integration with their vantage api. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

Limited customizations in Vantage as compared to Flexicapture. I think it lacks in E2E automation because abbyy mostly focused on document processing not complete lifecycle, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ABBYY Intelligent Document Processing?

I don't dislike anything, I just dont understand how the different products relate. Are you supposed to combine Vantage with DocuLang with Flexicapture? Its just a little confusing how I should be using these. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
