Videos can be embedded on my site or emails, or I can create a landing page for a project full of videos. I can host videos without advertising, or add a personal CTA. I also love that I can whitelabel the video content (with a high enough plan) and customize the player. A couple features I was surprised to find include GIF creations and bubble videos. So grateful to have this video hosting solution! **What do you dislike about Vadoo?** UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2024: As fas as I can tell there have been zero updates or feature improvements since purchasing Vadoo.tv. The only emails I receive are to purchase something new or a related product. When I asked for updates I get a general response from the owner. I wanted some level of verification that the product was being developed and supported and cannot find anything. I switched all my hosting to Adilo since then and have had a much better experience there. OLD: In the help section, I would like to see more than a simple description. It would be helpful to have more information about CNAME set up, for example. I know there are other features that would be beneficial, that are not available yet. BUT, this company continually enhances their roadmap for updates and they've already shown they can complete requested features. **What problems is Vadoo solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am excited to create landing pages as a subdomain that host video collections for people who find my blog online and don't want to go to YouTube. This feature is almost impossible to find with other services and super valuable as audio is just as popular as video in my market Fast CDN- Almost every review mentioned this, so this is clearly critical for site speed and user experience HD- Hence why I bought Tier 3 Video Security- With membership sites and courses, it is a great option to limit downloads On Screen Recording- have not tried- see many complaints but also Vadoo has diligently worked to correct as indicated by their Chrome Updates and responses to this complaint Customer Service- Again, most deals have a major complaint about customer service, Vadootv has almost zero complaints in this area. Tells me the company cares and has long term survival plans as well as the desire to grow to be as their motto states Unlimted Videos- Not sure how this works but seems to be the draw for most so I am in Roadmap- Reading the roadmap is exciting. Most deals sell us the product and then abandon the sumolings before the deal ends. VadooTv is giving more everyday joyfully and without complaints. The Founders- Companies are only as good as their leaders. The founders are clearly professional, committed, determined and very focused on giving value, expanding their offerings and building their brand. They have been funded by VC and have mentors working with them to ensure their stability and growth. As a LTD- this is critical as most SAAS will not survive. Competition is high, and the cost of entry is low. The real cost is growing beyond the initial idea into something sustainable and truly exceptional. **What do you dislike about Vadoo?** Limited instructions on how to maximize all of the constantly expanding features. Need more video instruction They are not using their own product features on their website, instructions are not done in Video and their new features aren't listed on the website just on the roadmap. - But ultimately not my concern. Vadoo was a great replacement, and although the user UI is somewhat lacking and seem a little haphazard. I love that I can customize my own player to exactly how I want it, as well as my landing page. Timed call-to-action buttons are also available, as well as lead capture, chapter navigation and markers. I like how the player bar doesn't distract from the actual video, sometimes video software startups make the bar too thick. The player and landing page themselves look good and professional. **What do you dislike about Vadoo?** I've been very surprised by the recent reviews about CS and the blocking of videos without warning. I can say though, they are no longer active in their Facebook group which once was a vibrant community. I wish they paid more attention to aesthetics and UI, things are a little rudimentary and not that intuitive. I also wish that the presets for the videos could be put in a more obvious spot, it's hard to get to and I had to search all over before clicking on my Profile -> Settings and then Presets. The gif thumbnail that is generated is not the best, as it's more of several screenshots of the video put together and is pixelated. **What problems is Vadoo solving and how is that benefiting you?** I needed a video hosting software that was more affordable than Vimeo but gave me the same features. If, like me, you have posted 76 videos, with a usage of 18/3000 GB and look at my visitor statistics of the websites where they are published, then I already have a suspension because the total of the 76 videos has been viewed max 600 times. You can understand that I had a lot of work to put every video on a different platform because visitors got the message: You have crossed the fair usage bandwidth limit on Vadootv. Reach out to support on https://vadoo.tv to upgrade to a custom plan. In their own system I can't see how much a video has been viewed. When I then ask to indicate which video it is, I also get no response. Just the work to get all my videos (and those of my clients) back online through another channel, because they can't give me a correct answer and block all videos with a message. Terrible company **Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2023 **What do you like best about Vadoo?** The hosting service worked well until they tried to force to upgrade without justification and then blocked all our videos without notice. **What do you dislike about Vadoo?** They tried to charge us after we bought their lifetime deal, saying that we surpassed the fair usage for unlimited bandwidth and needed to upgrade. According to their T&C, lack of fair usage would be for users that are above the 99% bandwidth consumption. For reference, we do 160 views per day, each of a couple of mins, so I was very surprised and I asked for evidence of that. They did not provide any information on the bandwidth. Instead, after our request they blocked all the videos on our account without notice. The videos (used for premium content for which customers pay) stopped to load and we started to get complaints and requests for refunds from customers. We had to immediately move to a different solution. I requested again an explanation which they refused to provide (it’s now 14+ days since we contacted them). At this point, I believe they are trying to get rid of lifetime deal customers with unproven claims. That's why I like it. It doesn't rely on YouTube or any other platform. I can now create content for any platform without worrying about users seeing broken links. I also don't have to worry about publishing something and then having it deleted, or even worse, someone coming to a page I embedded a video in and finding that the video has been removed. Encryption is the most important step in securing your video content. HLS encryption makes it much more difficult for people to steal your content. It provides great peace of mind and makes it easier for customers to purchase from you. **What do you dislike about Vadoo?** The interface of this tool wasn't the best, but they have improved it over time. In my opinion, it still can be improved for a better user experience. Things that I like: 1) The Vadoo team responds to its customers fast if there's any query or issue. A software is as good as the service behind it. 2) Video player is nice looking, highly customizable, have all the necessary controls. Can be web embedded, email embedded, or shared through URL on a landing page. 3) Web app has inbuilt video recorder for screen share or camera recording, that replaces software's like Loom, although not quite there yet. There's also a Chrome recorder extension. Seriously looking for improvement in this area. 4) Comes with plenty of storage space which are hosted on Amazon S3. Users have option to use videos hosted elsewhere and use just the vadoo player for streaming. 5) Audio player also available. 6) Video requests can be sent e.g. to customers for review videos that directly uploads to the app. 7) Feature to protect unauthorized download. 8) Custom branding of email embeds, landing page and player. 9) CNAME for landing page on your own site (for certain plans) 10) UI has been improved but not necessarily the best. 11) Better analytics is expected soon **What do you dislike about Vadoo?** The team is working toward making it better. Some of things I don't like at present (Dec 2021) are: 1) Chrome extension for recorder interface isn't fully developed yet and requires redesign. Videos recorded cannot be edited/trimmed before upload. Camera gets turned on when it should be disabled (screen share option). Looms works a lot better. But recording quality is good. This is pending for long long time. 2) Videos can be recorded via the web app aren't 16:9 format, they are more square. This includes the request videos (customer reviews e.g.) 3) HD quality video playback for videos hosted on vadoo is not available on all plans. 4) CNAME option is not available on all plan. Emails etc are not fully white labelled 5) User interface/menu is a little difficult to follow, but I am sure they will change it for better and make it more intuitive in future once more functionalities have been added. 6) Forms to capture leads are very basic and limited functionality 7) need more integrations with other software, such as Gurucan 8) Link to video file for sharing is not available directly, it is accessible via vadoo landing page, for security reason they say. 9) Limited analytics, better expected soon 10) Team needs to listen to customers and give them what they want on priority. At the moment, team picks what they want in their priority list. 11) Basic video editing functions are missing **Recommendations to others considering Vadoo:** This I think is a great option for hosting, playing and capturing video content. I also don't worry over someone visiting a page I embedded a video to be told the video has been deleted or any of those scenarios. I haven't tried embedding from Vadoo to any social media platform yet. I haven't used the landing page they provide yet because I have another solution for building landing pages. But at least it is a nice touch if I needed it. With my plan (subscription) I get to rebrand (whitelable) the player that comes with their hosting service so that my audience see my logo and colors when they watch my videos. Now that is thrilling! **What do you dislike about Vadoo?** Vadoo is quite new in the market. This means it isn't as mature as YouTube or any similar hosting solutions that have been around for years. However, this is not a negative thing, considering that I have had direct access to the founders whenever I have had questions. I have even made feature suggestions to their roadmap. So it feels like being part of an evolving solution. It's a great feeling. **What problems is Vadoo solving and how is that benefiting you?** Vadoo is currently affordable compared to other premium video hosting providers. If I use the free service of provider like YouTube, then I have to settle with them distracting my audience whenever they show them ads or other suggested videos. I find useful domain protection, too. Overall, the product options are good and there is an explanation of everything I need to know, many sources of information, tips, and tricks.  It's easy to use,  simple-looking, and on the other side, comes with users' complex needs in mind. For now, I plan to use it for the backup option if something goes wrong with the current service. As I see, this product will be on the top of the list of video hosts over the competition soon. **What do you dislike about Vadoo?** I see there is a space for improvement but I believe that the service will grow fast. I will love to see some options of player that is useful for LMS, e.g. transcript with taking notes. Big pros for us include the white label, the security features and the ease of use even for the most novice of users so our staff can use this tool within minutes of having a go at it. It certainly fits the bill as a great central location to store media and we are very impressed we must say. We are looking at Vadoo more and more as a marketing tool as well and the testimonial feature looks very, very exciting. Implementation of the WordPress Plugin once completed will be a big bonus for us and other WordPress users as well so bring it on. It's been great so far for hosting our course videos. A few things we really like: - The ability to request videos from customers. This is an invaluable way to collect customer testimonial - The option to add subtitles. We do business in English and French, which allows us to repurpose videos that would otherwise have to be redone. - The delivery speed of the videos. It's not always perfect, but in general, it's been speedy. - We love the call to action feature. This is real cool and not something we could easily do using other services or self hosting. - This CTA feature is a good addition to the possibility to add the videos to email. It's a versatile tool for hosting videos. **What do you dislike about Vadoo?** In terms of dislike, we'd have to say that the most significant pain point so far has been the inability to insert the videos on our website or other platforms using just the URL. Unless they made some changes recently, the only way videos can be played is using their video player. **What problems is Vadoo solving and how is that benefiting you?** For us VadooTV has allowed us to use a single platform to do everything video-related. The storage is generous for the price.
