  ### 1. Streamlined Website Management with Excellent AI Features

**What do you like best about Scorpion?**

I like Scorpion because the front end is nice, but the back end is really excellent. The AI predictor of incoming calls helps ensure high buyer's intent through the website. I use it for call tracking, which lets me analyze high buyer's intent and coach our call center. It's great for marketing, scheduling posts, and newsletters. I love watching all the leads come in and the volume of leads based on day. The back end of Scorpion is most valuable, and having Aspen Goldfish as my representative is particularly beneficial. I appreciate that Scorpion keeps up with AI, makes sure we don't miss anything, and updates our website easily.

**What do you dislike about Scorpion?**

I think they have room to improve on when they put images on the site. Some of the logic on how the site works. Sometimes I feel like they work too quick and it doesn't match up with how a person would use the website.

**What problems is Scorpion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scorpion helps me record and analyze calls, assisting in evaluating buyer intent and coaching our call center. It supports marketing efforts through scheduling posts and newsletters while effectively tracking and managing lead volumes.

Scorpion is professional, responsive, forward looking and in my 4 decades of practice and 3 decades of using online marketing, I have never had a company that even came close. My rep, Shannon Wilmoth is singlehandedly (OK, maybe her team helps), helping my practice to thrive.

they really didn't know or understand the things that they claimed to be experts in, namely website development and optimizing google ads

They may be able to help a company looking to launch their first website.  if you have any kind of existing business i would stay far away

We came to Scorpion to help with our SEO and web presence.  They convinced us as part of their service to relaunch our website to something new that would better convert traffic.  We lost almost 80% of our organic traffic after the launch of the new website. After 6 months and going through our busiest season, it has only marginally recovered (we are still down about 70% in organic traffic). We had to double our marketing spend to make up for this deficit and will still be significantly down for the year. They turned our 3.5 million dollar business into a 2.5 million dollar business overnight.  I would stay far away if you have an existing website.

We were having issues with a consistent and relevent web presence.  Other marketing companies would start out strong and then ghost us.  Scorpion, and specifically Alyssa Thompson, has been by our side for the last four years.  Yes! Four years.  Alyssa helped us manage a total re-branding, an aquisition, new service offerings and so much more.    She has been our marketing accountibilabuddy.  Not only performing spectacularly on her part, but encouraging us to do our part.  Let's face it. Sometimes, as a business owner, you are putting out so many fires, we need to have someone that helps us maintain the course.  Though we have never met in person, we feel that we have a thoroughly down to earth relationship with Alyssa. We enjoy and look forward to our meetings with her.   She has a wit, insight and displays a great deal of empathy with.   She has the ability to be open and frank with us and we appreciate it.

Our favorite component is Scorpion's willingness and consistent demonstrated enthusiasm in providing Orr Law with the analytics required to read the efficacy of our marketing program in real-time.

Scorpion is a variable expense and variable cost that is often difficult for boutique firms to manage and can truncate the efficacy of our marketing program. This is perhaps the nature of marketing in the AI paradigm...but creative cost structuring to offset marketing program interference will become more important as our relationship continues.

You must be prepared to adjust to your boutique firm's marketing program budget needs as this is highly variable.  Always ask questions.

The Orr Law Firm utilizes Scorpion to augment our marketing efforts and efficacy.  Scorpion brings us qualified potential clients on a consistent basis, provides perpetual support to adjust to market conditions, and has been integral to Orr Law's business plan.

Terrible Experience with the Law Firm's Website Services

Our law firm had a disappointing and frustrating experience with the website services provided by this company for over a year. Despite sending them content, they would make unauthorized changes and post altered versions on our website, which were later revealed to be illegal. They falsely claimed that we could guarantee attorney fees, but when we confronted a manager with a side-by-side comparison of our original document and the posted content, she apologized and acknowledged the error. However, just a week later, she seemed to have no recollection of our conversation, creating an atmosphere of gaslighting and deflection.

Throughout our engagement, we had weekly calls where promises were made but rarely followed through. Despite assuring us that they would take action on our discussions, they consistently failed to deliver. Moreover, we hired them specifically for SEO services, paying a hefty $1500 per month, while competitors charged significantly less at $300. Shockingly, when we assessed the performance score, it was remarkably low. We immediately raised this concern with the company, only to be met with an absurd explanation that we ourselves were responsible for the poor performance score. The manager even claimed there was an email discussing this matter, but when requested to produce it, she conveniently delayed sending it, and it never materialized.

Our website was no different from others in our industry, yet the company insisted that upgrading our site would resolve the issue, framing it as a "free" service. However, we already paid $1500 per month, and fixing inadequate SEO scores should be an integral part of their job, not an additional cost. We tried to rectify the situation by requesting a credit for the previous month, considering their editing of our content and the poor SEO performance, but they bluntly refused any refunds, despite their failure to fulfill their responsibilities.

As a result of this deeply unsatisfactory experience, we have decided to switch to Justia, which offers their services at a reasonable rate of $200 per month. We wish anyone who continues to deal with this company the best of luck, as our experience has shown that they are unprofessional, unaccountable, and fail to deliver on their promises.

They do make a very attractive website but the SEO portion is lacking.

When we decided to cancel I set multiple emails, contacted them through the support message, and left phone messages. I did not get any response for 3 weeks.  When I did get a response they told us we had to pay another month because we had to give them a 30-day notice. We had not used their services for over a month.

I recommend that you continue to look for another company.  If you are in the service business and you actually want to rank online look another place.

We hired Scorpion to take care of our website. From the get-go they let us know that it was not a contract. Since we had a bad experience with past providers we wanted to make sure this time.  They just told us we would not be able to keep the website if we stopped services. We determined it was not benefiting us at all and the amount of money charged did not match the results.

There have been some times we weren't on the same page with meetings and we have had some delays in connecting our web forms with our CRM, which we were told could be done and wouldn't be hard but haven't been, and we are still waiting.

Make sure you are comparing apples to apples when comparing against other marketing companies.  "Marketing Companies" are not all the same. We have been through 5 of them, being the longest and current with Scorpion.

We have always wanted to see our lead channels and how they perform in digestible, easy-to-read reports/dashboards.  Scorpion has made an effective tool to help our business with that.

Absolutely terrible service. They are more interested in billing you than they are about performing services promised. 8k down the drain and not a single dollar made in ROI 

Then when canceled charged my card without permission. Terrible experience and lied to about services from The beginning. All calls recorded hopefully.

Scorpion is incredibly good at communicating and innovating new tech in the digital marketing industry. One example of this is the Scorpion Dashboard which allows us to meticulously track our marketing efforts.

There truly are very few things I dislike about Scorpion. The only consistent problem we've had this year is a lack of leads in one geographical area we serve despite many conversations on the subject.

The dedicated individuals contribute to all aspects of my Scorpion experience.  From previous marketing managers starting in 2009 to my current managers Jenna and Kelly and the entire "criminal team."  They transform a kernel of an idea I may suggest into a remarkably well-expressed message to my clients.  If they suggest an approach, it is with my specific needs and business model in mind.  They have taken time over the years to get to know me and how I best like to do business. They incorporate my ideas.  We strategize together.  

Amazingly, what has always impressed me about all of the people who have been with me at Scorpion is the almost instant response to questions or requests.  I have often just completed an email, hit send, and I get multiple responses from each of the team members that can and do refine or explain the details. If I place a live phone call, it someone returns that call immediately. It makes one feel that they are simply waiting for a client like myself to ask a question and then begin the process to achieve my needs. 

When asjed  "What do I like  BEST?"  The HUMOR they bring to my day when we are discussing my business strategies.  I am treated as a friend.  They make me feal like a friend.  Sincerely laughing and enjoying what I strongly believe we are creating together.  If I could name all of the previous marketing managers that have moved on to bigger and better things at Scorpion and beyond, I would fill a paragraph.  The most remarkable part of my relationship with these individuals...we form a friendship.  I have the personal phone numbers of previous marketing managers, and to this day, we communicate and chat about what is current in our daily lives.  You don't get that sort of relationship from organizational ties.  My success is not just a business to them.  They take personal pleasure in my success.  I genuinely enjoy working with them.  If I have to actually spell it out, my business has grown exponentially over the years.  For the last three years, they have been business partners, friends and cheerleaders of my success.

The company is large, at many times it feels like we are forgotten and only hear from them if we reach out with problems. Also, there are certain campaigns that do not perform well and it seems like nothing is being done to improve them. They are nice enough from a customer service standpoint, but we don't feel like there is much transparency which is funny because it's our money and our business they are managing.

If you are looking for a start into digital marketing they are a great fit. If you don't want to be very involved in your marketing and just turn the keys over to someone, they are an even better fit.

The regular personal interface with my contact at Scorpion, which also includes our intake team, is most helpful to me as a manager.

**What do you dislike about Scorpion?**

The writing for the website is by far the worst problem.  Scorpion's writers and their writing are very hit-and-miss.  I noted early in the process that the writing for our main page was reasonably good, but the writing for the other pages was not.  The back-page writing was average and sometimes (often) poor in many ways, such as poor word use, obvious instances of writing for word-count rather than for communicative impact, and saying the same uninteresting things over and over-- all very bad for any user and potential client who might want to do a deep-dive into the services we provide and into understanding the key legal concepts better. I found that the Scorpion writers had little to no understanding of legal concepts and actually made statements that were just wrong about family law in Texas.  I personally try to fix or even start over with some of the writing myself.  But I have to run a law firm and practice law, so I really don't have the time.  When the website was being set up, I even recruited my lawyers to help with the writing.  However, this was not a happy solution to a problem which Scorpion should solve:   it is prohibitively expensive to use lawyers who charge $250-425 an hour to do a job that Scorpion contracted to do.  The worst aspect of this is that  Scorpion is not at all nimble in blogging and announcements that need to be written and posted quickly-- because the writing is poor.  We have lost ground in having our web presence keep up to date with honors and announcements, which could be posted monthly if only we could partner with Scorpion in a way that would involve putting out a well-written new piece.  Improving this aspect of Scorpion's work would put Scorpion over the top.  Lawyers are writers, so lawyers expect good, or even excellent writing.  Since potential clients trust referrals from lawyers, it is important that legal websites appeal to other lawyers, as well as intelligent successful potential clients-- who are the kind of potential clients we want.  Finally,  we go to court, and while this has not happened yet, I fear the day when my client or one of my attorneys is cross-examined by a clever opposing lawyer who uses erroneous information in our website to try to hurt our case or make us look bad.

**Recommendations to others considering Scorpion:**

I think that Scorpion is well-worth investigating.  I feel that Scorpion is on the cutting edge of the technological aspects of law firm website production, maintenance, lead generation and SEO.  If well-written pages throughout the website are important, you will need to also invest in a writer, because so far, I have not seen that capability within Scorpion.

**What problems is Scorpion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scorpion has given us consistent lead generation resulting in clients.  The revenue from those clients contributes significantly to our bottom line.   In combination with our intake team, Scorpion provides detailed analytics on those leads.  This enables Scorpion, as well as our firm, to make adjustments to further enhance the quality and quantity of leads.  Scorpion provides us with regular feedback digitally and in the form of online meetings four times a month or more.  Scorpion manages the content of our website as well.

I work closely with EJ from Scorpion Marketing on many marketing projects throughout the year.  He is both efficient and understands my business needs. He gives me the information needed to better make an informed decision and not just what he thinks I want to hear! It is very easy to become a number and get lost in the system but EJ and the Scorpion Marketing Team take the time to ensure this does not happen.   
As a small business owner, I get calls all day about what a company can do for me to grow my business, but Scorpion "Listens 1st, than creates a plan."

I like their communication the best. I know that Scorpion has many clients, but I never feel as though others overshadow me. They are always quick to respond, willing to help, and on top of getting everything done. It's great knowing that someone is always there to help.

Currently, I'm not too fond of the current system that we are on. It's old, clunky, and hard to manage. If you happen to be stuck on an older CMS or SMS, then I highly recommend that you ask your rep about upgrading.

Their business model is excellent. When I ask a question, I don't expect a response immediately, but I always get one. They are extremely responsive to my needs. Plus, their website services are top notch. I've used several website services to manage my website (like the old Findlaw back in the day) and I find their company to be the best one I've worked with. I moved into a new county knowing no one and started from scratch. 2 years later, my website is one of the top performing ones in the county.

There's nothing I don't like about Scorpion. The cost of it is high, but you have to swallow that big pill and tell yourself that it's paying for itself with the volume of clients it brings in.

**Recommendations to others considering Scorpion:**

Having gone through numerous companies, Scorpion has outperformed them all. Back in the day, I used Findlaw (around 2005) and they were the top company to use at the time. Then they fell off and no one could replace them. When I moved to a new county and had to start all over, I noticed one law firm was going great guns getting business. I looked and saw Scorpion was handling their website. Based on what I was seeing with that firm, I could see what Scorpion could do, so I hired them. I made the right decision.

**Describe the project or task Scorpion helped with:**

Scorpion is my website development and online marketing team that has built my firm's website from the ground up, integrated chat and integrated tools into my practice management software. They have also been tasked with leading my online marketing efforts.

**What do you like best about Scorpion?**

Communication. As I am a first-time business owner and new to the world of online marketing I had A LOT of questions and Scorpion was responsive throughout the entire process.

Work Product. The website they created is incredible, I love the modern look, some unique design to my practice area and city and then all of the "bells and whistles" that the site also incudes. I also love that the site integrates with my practice management software and is simply one part of my web presence that works hand-in-hand with my online marketing.

**What do you dislike about Scorpion?**

That things didn't happen overnight? In all honesty, there wasn't much to critique, there were a handful of small, idiosyncratic things I wanted changed to my site prior to launch, but they were accomplished quickly.

**Recommendations to others considering Scorpion:**

When working with Scorpion you are working with real professionals who have helped new start-ups (like me) to some of the biggest companies and brands in the world. While it may feel like your budget is too small to work with such a top-flight company, that simply isn't the case. Talk to the team at Scorpion, outline your goals, desires, budget and timeframe and Scorpion should have a solution for you.

**What problems is Scorpion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed a professional, modern website for my new law firm I was starting. I also needed people to find my site who needed my services. Scorpion knocked the new website out of the park, I would gladly stack my site up next to any of my competitors in a very competitive market. I am also thrilled with my results of the online marketing as I have received calls every single day the campaign has been live.

Scorpion handles all of our online marketing and online presence including SEO and reputation. We are constantly working with them to make our company more visible online to potential clients, and entering online markets we would not otherwise be in.

**What do you like best about Scorpion?**

The constant communication that Scorpion provides. My online marketing manager reaches out to me at least once per month and answers any questions I have.

**What do you dislike about Scorpion?**

Scorpion is an online platform so you do not have an actual person in your office to meet with. However, we are in 2021, how many full time in-office employees do we really have anymore?

**Recommendations to others considering Scorpion:**

Do not let the "big company" perception scare you. Many of my colleagues use small marketing companies because they feel that they will receive more of a hands-on approach and more personalized service. You will absolutely receive that with Scorpion, even though they are not a small company. Also, because Scorpion is a big company, they have so many people with so many different skills available to work on your marketing needs. There is no need to get additional companies involved other than Scorpion. They are a one-stop-shop.

Our online reputation and presence is beyond what I could have imagined. We are more visible to potential new clients online.
