Looking at the cost, I wanted to see what else was available. Proclaim worked with NDI for streaming right out of the box with no tweaking like other platforms. Integration with songs, lyrics and media was also faster and easier. Since it is cloud-based multiple members can work on presentations from different locations. This is great for teams. There is an app you can run on tablets or phones to remote control a presentation. So my operator does not need to be in the booth with me. Proclaim also has polls, trivia and tools to be interactive. The NDI option allows me to use Proclaim to send lower thirds on online graphics to a live stream easily. **What do you dislike about Proclaim?** I miss hotkeys for shortcuts during live presentations. Proclaim does offer an app that does help. I would like to see better integration for reporting to CCLI. Live streaming for me still works best using OBS or other streaming software. Proclaim does seem to be working on improving and adding features with regular updates. **What problems is Proclaim solving and how is that benefiting you?** I needed a way to send lyrics, announcements, notes and graphics to the front of the house and a live stream. Procalim let me do that right out of the box with less work and tweaking than other platforms. ### 2. These presentations incorporate presentation files from Keynote and Powerpoint, audio, video, and other multimedia. Proclaim allows our entire team to add their elements remotely and for us to use a single piece of software rather than jumping through multiple hoops to make our Sunday morning service "seamless". It also records our service and uploads it to an RSS feed for later listening via any Podcast app. ### 5. The interface is very intuitive and most items, videos, etc. are drag and droppable. Can't say enough! **What do you dislike about Proclaim?** The only downside is that items are limited 600mb in size to upload to the cloud. **What problems is Proclaim solving and how is that benefiting you?** I can work with team members in different locations to build and communicate about services throughout the week. It saves a ton of time by remembering preferences, lyric changes, and smart media. ### 6. It helps me reach my students and convey information to them. I also like how it easily integrates the presentations I make in Apple Keynote into our Sunday and Wednesday services. Finally, I appreciate that this program is very intuitive and easy to learn - many of our volunteer high school students are able to quickly learn the program and operate it with relative ease and expediency. **What do you dislike about Proclaim?** I honestly cannot think of a single thing that I disliked about Proclaim... other than the fact that, if I have a presentation that has a ton of animation, Proclaim will "split" all of the slides with animation into separate different slides. This can make for a rather large and unwieldy "final" product. Besides that one small issue, I genuinely do not have any significant disappointments with Proclaim. **What problems is Proclaim solving and how is that benefiting you?** Proclaim has helped me effectively communicate the major points of my sermons on both Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings (2x a week) every week for the past three years! It's been an easy program for many of our student volunteers to learn, and it has been a great tool for me. Additionally, this program helps us show our lyrics for our worship songs that we sing on Sunday mornings. ### 7. Slides are easy to create and edit, and they look very professional. **What do you dislike about Proclaim?** Sometimes searching the various slide options can be less than helpful. I feel as though I'm searching and just hoping something good happens to come up. Also, there are times that I'd like to build a more complex slide (a couple of accent photos, or such), and Proclaim doesn't make that an easy process. **Recommendations to others considering Proclaim:** Take lots of time to watch videos and explore the depth of all that proclaim can do. It's an expansive piece of software. Rather than being frustrated by trying to figure things out when you're already up and running, it can be a very enjoyable thing to become increasing familiar with the software and improve your skills until you're very well adept. Also, if you are the one implementing Proclaim in your ministry, your confidence with the software will help other members be enthusiastic about using the software themselves. **What problems is Proclaim solving and how is that benefiting you?** Proclaim helps us use one computer to project to all of our various screens rather than needing one for the congregation and one for a confidence monitor. ### 8. It's been a very helpful tool after our Lead Pastor decided that he would like it to look like an actual bible when we're going through a bible verse on screen instead of just plain text. So far so good! **What do you dislike about Proclaim?** Proclaim is a little difficult to navigate if you've never used it before. You become more accustom to it after a couple times of playing around with it, but I wish it was a little more user friendly in its organization. I also wish it had even more features churches could use for weekend presentations! **Recommendations to others considering Proclaim:** I would give Proclaim a try if you've always wanted an authentic-looking bible on screen to remind people that it's a real book! All the slide backgrounds you can think of are most likely there with pre-filled Bible verses, announcements, slides options. Since it is a subcription based software it is never outdated. Every upgrade is included. Their customer service team is always willing to help in learning new things. The Faithlife community app also provides many ideas and helps for those seeking to improve their use of the software. **What do you dislike about Proclaim?** It’s so different than other presentation softwares that it has a longer learning curve. It’s not a stand alone, buy-it-and-keep-it software. It’s subscription based so if you don’t like having to pay for it indefinitely you may find this a turn off. **Recommendations to others considering Proclaim:** Proclaim makes sense for a church that would like to use the complete Faithlife platform. Logos Bible Software, Online Giving, Church Website, the Faithlife app, can all work together to create a seamless, organized communication flow with teams and individual members and friends of a congregation. **What problems is Proclaim solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having to come in and transfer a presentation using Dropbox, a USB drive or other drives. The number of users is unlimited too. Under our current subscription you can have multiple users using Proclaim. For example, with ProPresenter you would have to purchase a different level license, but with Proclaim its part of the price. You can have different groups customize the software for its particular needs within the church campus. ### 10. The ability to sync is erratic. If I have multi users editing a session, I am not certain as to what is the latest version . 2. The crashing in the Mac loses all previous edits. Faithlife should work in sessions savings so one does not have to start from scratch if a crash happens..fortunately it does not happen often. **Recommendations to others considering Proclaim:** Hands down one of the best multimedia presentation suites for ministry! **What problems is Proclaim solving and how is that benefiting you?** The ministry needed a multimedia presentation suite that was better than Keynote and PowerPoint. Faithlife Proclaim is the answer. The suite give the ministry a smooth and upscale worship experience that enhances the overall service. Our worship leaders and ministers enjoy how they can deploy modern technology to enhance their message. ### 13. A beginner can use it as well as an older member of the church to create a presentation. While running the presentation all you have to do is click forward or backward so it is very easy to use for older members of the congregation. You can also integrate song lyrics and Bible quotes easily rather than using a separate software to put everything together. **What do you dislike about Proclaim?** When syncing from a different computer it still takes some time to show up on a different computer. If you are working on a different laptop this can be a problem sometimes. So we would have to share the file in another manner. Additionally cost can be an issue because even thought it is only 18.99 a month the artwork subscription costs extra. The basic artwork is usable but the extra subscription makes the presentation pop. It is expensive though for a smaller service. **What problems is Proclaim solving and how is that benefiting you?** It dramatically cuts down on the time it takes to prepare a sermon and presentation. It allows for our church to spend more time focusing on the content and the service itself rather than spending time integrating different softwares together. Additionally we can save all of our presentations for future use and for other churches to refer to as well. ### 14. I would prefer larger, more significant updates, rather than multiple smaller ones. **Recommendations to others considering Proclaim:** If you can afford it, go for it! In my opinion, you will not find better church presentation software out there. The service has improved on and outpaced all others. There's a huge advantage for me as a senior leader to have integration with Logos Bible Software. The presentation sometimes can lag a little bit. **Recommendations to others considering Proclaim:** Definitely Proclaim is a software to consider. As with any other software, testing is key and not all software is meant to be used by all people so finding a software that you can use and can provide a good return on investment is key. I’ve noticed that most things can be done with proclaim but unless you’re willing to dig on forums it’s hard to discover. **Recommendations to others considering Proclaim:** Proclaim is best for collaboration among ministry leaders. The support is superb and new updates are being rolled out at least once or twice a week. **What do you dislike about Proclaim?** There is some lack of flexibility at times, and it lacks a module for liturgy. There also are few graphics which truly appeal to more progressive congregations. **Recommendations to others considering Proclaim:** Be sure to sign up for the support emails from faithlife so that you'll get great Q&A from users. Also, note that they have several other features built in - podcasting, newsletters, and bulletins. **What problems is Proclaim solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had a much harder time with our worship software when we had to pay a per-computer license. This past Sunday some of the slides went missing and it wouldn't sync to the cloud to grab them. It offers a user-friendly interface, really well designed elements for slides and very good integrations as the bible on the screen, which allows you to integrate a verse on the slide with just write the passage text. In addition, they offer a remote control mobile app that can be used during presentations of musical letters, it can be downloaded from the google play store for android or app store for iphone. The letters can be brought directly from Song Select (by CCLI) and not having to type them. Proclaim can also store your presentation in the cloud, so you do not have to never use more than a USB stick, this is a very useful tool in a day like today. I also love that you have the possibility to can record the service and share it with other brethrens that could not attend to church. **What do you dislike about Proclaim?** The program is a bit expensive, but still you can have a free 30 day trial, so you may decide your mind. An inconvenience with this program is that it happened already that when a guest speaker brings his own .ppt powerpoint presentation on a flash drive this presented some little problems. The process you have to go through is to import and convert the powerpoint slides to images. It was not that possible because the slides were cut off at some parts deleting scriptures and other important text when converted to images, so what you must end up doing is run powerpoint software separately. **Recommendations to others considering Proclaim:** Many websites offer a free download of Proclaim. Proclaim most used versions are 1.8, 1.5 and 1.1. Proclaim is a Multimedia program type. The installation file name of the most common tool is ProClaim.exe. The real architect of this program without cost is Logos Bible Software. I preferably recommend anyone to download the program directly from the developer's website. You can have a free 30 day trial and no credit card is needed, I would reccomend anyone to use this option before purchasing the software to test if it will fit to what you church is needing. If you are already a designer, this program can be a very useful tool to can explode your creativity. **What problems is Proclaim solving and how is that benefiting you?** Proclaim lets you to work with all your team from wherever they are able to work better. You do not have no need to email them any large files or scramble around with big large files on a flash drive.
