What I like best is that you can just paste in a paragraph describing a client’s idea and get quality results back almost instantly. It saves a massive amount of time since we don't have to spend ages building complex keyword or Boolean strings. The platform is fast, and the layout makes it really straightforward to scan through the patents, see the highlights, and pick out exactly what we need for our projects. The platform has a massive amount of features, but for our specific workflow, it can honestly feel like a bit too much functionality. Since we mostly just use the core semantic search, a lot of the advanced tools and options can make the interface look a bit cluttered for what we need. Although PatSeer provides a Non-Patent Literature (NPL) search option, I have found that the results are frequently incomplete. Many features make PatSeer unique (Like Chemical lookup, search term translator, PDF Kart etc. ). The Chemical look-up feature is my favorite. I often use this feature.
