"Notepad++ is great - Just use it!"
5/5
What do you like best about Notepad++?

What's best about Notepad++? It's a tie between free and amazing. For a free app, it is amazingly powerful. If it doesn't do something you need, just check to see if there is a plugin. It can format HTML, XML, and JSON. It encodes and decodes BASE64, allows you to edit by column, search and replace across all files in a folder, make live edits over FTP, etc. It's really worth checking out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notepad++?

The only thing I really dislike is it can sometimes be difficult to find a missing feature or to realize there is a feature you could really use that needs to be installed through a plugin. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1. Auto Save File

5.Right click and Edit with Notepad++, its wonderfull

6. Free Open Source Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notepad++?

As a notepad editor its good but since it has multiple language support, it should provide debugging option. This will make it more easy to use for development as well, Some basic IDE tools can be added,,Layout can be improved Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Notepad++ Keeps Our Documents Clean and Properly Indented"
5/5
What do you like best about Notepad++?

We are a team of 10 people: 3 developers, 2 directors, and the remaining team members work in HR and Sales/Marketing. When it comes to creating text documents that are clean and properly indented, all of us rely on Notepad++. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notepad++?

Not just me—many regular Notepad++ users share the same complaint: the updates and patches are released too frequently. I don’t like it when I’m working on an important document or in the middle of coding and an update pop-up suddenly appears. It’s really annoying and breaks my focus. "Lightweight, Fast, and Feature-Packed Coding with Notepad++"
5/5
What do you like best about Notepad++?

its lightweight performance, fast startup time, and powerful features for coding and text editing. It supports multiple programming languages with syntax highlighting, offers useful plugins for extended functionality, and handles large files efficiently while using very little system resources. Its simple interface makes it easy to use for both beginners and experienced developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notepad++?

One drawback of Notepad++ is that its interface feels somewhat outdated compared to modern code editors. It also lacks some advanced built-in features such as integrated debugging, version control tools, and AI-assisted coding, which often require additional plugins or external applications. Additionally, it is primarily designed for Windows, limiting native support for other operating systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Versatile, Open-Source Editor That Handles Multiple File Formats-supports macros and multiple plugin"
5/5
What do you like best about Notepad++?

1. It is an open-source program under the GNU license, and it can support multiple file formats. We did not save the already open file and close it. Next time, the same file remains open in the editor.

2. The UI and UX are very light. The pricing is not an issue because it is open source, and the ROI is very high

3. It has a plugins admin where you can search for the plugins and install

4. We got a help file during the onboarding process during installation.

5. AI features are not inbuilt by default, but we can integrate through 3rd party plugins like NppOpenAI, which enables ChatGPT integration for code generation, summarization, and refactoring using OpenAI keys. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notepad++?

Nothing to dislike about Notepad++ as a major. It is not available on iOS or Android.

If it is available on IOS/Android it is a potential boost to the end user Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Easy to use and lightweight: Notepad++ Keeps My Daily Work Efficient"
4/5
What do you like best about Notepad++?

I use Notepad++ almost every day because it’s simple, fast, and just easy to work with. It opens files quickly and handles different types of files without any hassle, whether it’s scripts, logs, or basic configs. I like that I can keep multiple files open in tabs and switch between them easily. Features like find and replace or quick search save a lot of time, especially when I’m working with large amounts of data. Overall, it’s straightforward and gets the job done without any complexity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notepad++?

The interface does feel a bit outdated compared to newer editors. Also, many useful features depend on plugins instead of being built in. For example, having an option to compare two files directly within the tool would make it much more convenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Lightweight, and Highly Customizable: Notepad++ at Its Best"
5/5
What do you like best about Notepad++?

I appreciate the simplicity and efficiency of Notepad++. Its lightweight design makes it extremely fast, and I love the extensive range of plugins available, which allows me to tailor it to my specific development needs. The support for multiple programming languages with syntax highlighting and code folding is another fantastic feature that enhances my coding experience. Overall, Notepad++ provides a powerful yet user-friendly platform for writing and editing code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notepad++?

One thing I dislike about Notepad++ is that its interface, while functional, can sometimes appear outdated compared to other modern text editors. Additionally, while it's excellent for many programming languages, there are times when certain advanced features or integrations found in more comprehensive IDEs are missing, which could limit its use for more complex projects. "Fast, Lightweight, and Great for Huge Log Files with Excellent Syntax Highlighting"
5/5
What do you like best about Notepad++?

like best thing about Notepad Plus Plus for me personally is like it's really fast and lightweight it opens in an instant doesn't ever slow down my system ever and when I'm working with like really big files and lock files since I am working with Technical Support of networking devices the log files can go up to 15GB right and like any normal other editor would just hang and freeze but this works really fine the syntax highlighting is really great and helpful and I like that is suppose supports so many languages without me doing anything extra the tabs make it really easy to switch between the files and do really good work and research and it's simple but has like lot of useful features that make it really easy to use Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notepad++?

well one thing I don't like or maybe its a bit odd that it can be little bit more modern , plugins are sometimes really confusing to install or add and sometimes I feel that few features are hidden and sometimes it crashes but that's not much and also that's not much customer support since it's free but you mostly figure things out on your own and no major issues Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Simple, and Reliable for Large Text, CSV, and Config Files"
4/5
What do you like best about Notepad++?

I originally downloaded Notepad++ because the regular Windows Notepad struggled with larger text files. What surprised me was how quickly it opened everything. After that I started using it for all kinds of things, not only text notes but also CSV files, exported reports and configuration files.

The best part is that it stays simple. It starts almost instantly, doesn't feel heavy and lets me find what I need without extra clicks. It became one of those tools that quietly stays on every computer because it is useful so often. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notepad++?

The interface hasn't changed much over the years and definitely looks old compared to modern applications. It works well, but visually it feels like a tool from another era. Sometimes it can also feel a bit overwhelming when you start exploring plugins and advanced options that most people probably never need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Edits on note++ is easier than the snap"
5/5
What do you like best about Notepad++?

I love how incredibly lightweight and fast it is, even when I'm opening massive log files that would crash other editors. The tabbed interface and built-in syntax highlighting make it my go-to for quick script edits and keeping my daily notes organized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notepad++?

It’s a bit of a bummer that it’s Windows-only, so I can't use it natively when I'm on a different OS. Also, the interface definitely feels a bit dated compared to modern IDEs, and managing a ton of plugins can sometimes get messy or cause stability issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
