**What do you like best about Jolt?**

I like that Jolt provides detailed reports after each shift and uses different colors and charts to highlight different types of breaches. It's web-based, allowing it to be accessed from any device, and is affordable. The universal access means our branch offices can easily be onboarded regardless of location, fostering collaboration, central management, and effective work continuity. The detailed reports help the team perform tasks at specific intervals, reducing error or breach rates by more than 25%. We can review these reports over time to fine-tune operations and determine future team needs. The initial setup is easy as it's a software as a service solution, and the controls to fine-tune Jolt are easy to find and maneuver for most user levels.

**What do you like best about Jolt?**

Digital checklists are relatively easy to set up, manage, and hold the team accountable.

**What do you dislike about Jolt?**

Customer service is poor. I signed trusting that their food prep labeling service would work— it doesn’t. I asked to remove it and I’m obligated to pay the remainder of the year for a broken service. That has broken all trust and I don’t continue business with companies that money grab like that.

**What problems is Jolt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Just the digital checklist which I can find anywhere else. They’re creating more problems than solving due to their poor customer service. They don’t seem to have answers over the phone and just send emails saying that I have to pay them until the end of the term. Again, money focused and not solution focused.

**What do you like best about Jolt?**

Jolt offers more than we choose to use at this time. 
Jolt Digital Food Safety with the cooler/freezer sensors added is so easy.
In addition, we use the Shift Management checklists.  Their standard lists provided are great AND customization to add lists makes this perfect.
As one of the first to adopt Jolt in the McDonald's system, we have never been disappointed.  When we have a need or concern, Jolt team makes it a priority as they do for all clients.
Additionally, our local Chicago Jolt Rep - Ryan Witek - has been a great addition to the Jolt team.

**What do you dislike about Jolt?**

Nothing disliked about the company, product or staff.  
We only know what we know... until we find something we did not know, yet.  
Then, Jolt team steps up to find an answer for us. :-)

**What problems is Jolt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Really have not been any "problems".  When we encounter an opportunity or the the technology has some kind of event, Jolt team is on it quickly.
My observation of 40 years in the industry... Jolt seems to have the least technical issues of any company we have worked with.
I write that statement, including working with items in test with Jolt.  Tech issues are very few.

**What do you like best about Jolt?**

It was only a few years ago that McDonald's completed food safety by pen and paper. In these last few years, the transition to using Jolt technology has revolutionized the way we complete the most important audit in our business, the food we sell. Personally, in our organization, we have been grateful for the easy-to-use platform and the daily emails we receive with a status overview of all 9 of our restaurants. 
I also lead a team for McDonald's Corporate that spans across Southern California and we all are appreciative of this relationship and are excited to watch it further evolve in the future.

**What do you dislike about Jolt?**

If I were to identify an opportunity, it would be related to wifi. In some of our store locations,  the wifi connection is not as fast as it could be. This can at times affect Jolt technology (or any tech for that matter) and can make some of the food safety process slightly slower than usual. There are several workarounds and while this is not a Jolt technology issue, it is one of the few obstacles we face now that we have this technology in our stores.

**What problems is Jolt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us, Jolt helps streamline our food safety process. This benefits us with time saved, increased accountability and a permanent track record which we can always refer back to when needed.

Also, from the Corporate perspective, you can implement broad changes for the entire country overnight by implementing different constraints to meet new requirements. It helps us to all stay uniform as the McDonald's brand.

Jolt is a very user friendly interface with a lot of additional features that makes their software the best in the market. I've tried all and they are top of my list!!!!! Not to mention the support staff are all amazing people that are dedicated to helping you achieve the most out of you're experience

There isn't anything I truly dislike about the softwares

Food safety all together . I can see real time data on all my freezers and walk-in using there sensors. I get alerts when temps are not right . I have everything I can possibly need to make sure it gets done correct and with out issues everyday!

Jolt has been so helpful in opening up a door to our inventory & accountablity. We get to see through photos access to our store digitally that everything was done.

Sometimes learning  the software, but the support has been robust!

Inventory management, task list solution, and leverage/recognition with employees . The store is clean, organized, accountable, and digital.

Jolt gives our teams the ability to use shared lists to both track and verify job completion in real time.

**What do you dislike about Jolt?**

The initial setup / download of content to new devices is quite time consuming, especially if you have multiple devices.

**What problems is Jolt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Temperature sensors in our coolers is very helpful, especially with the graphs to monitor in real time, or determining how long food was in the danger zone.

All of the lists, technology and business monitoring features. The account management/ support team is always helpful on the rare occasions help is needed.

**What do you dislike about Jolt?**

Rarely are Jolt products not functioning as designed. This is a tough question to answer.

Streamlining our shift management by providing scheduling functions, easy to complete lists that set up each shift for success. Our metrics have all improved across the board.

Jolt helps us remotely monitor all of our restaurant location's daily/weekly/monthly tasks and quickly make changes on the fly.

I request is to add a LMS feature but we have worked around it for now

Nothing, just sometimes it captures temperature too quickly when temping beef, when other times it makes you wiggle it around for a minute to capture it.

One of the best things is having a point of contact that is knowledgeable and quick to answer questions and keep me updated on any new changes.

I believe some of the reporting can be simplifyed. There is a lot of information that would be beneficial to have at an organization level instead of restaurant by restautrant.

**What do you like best about Jolt?**

Thebility to follow up without being at a location.  CSM knowledge.  Customizable lists.  Set up in the beginning was fully supported.  Special training for myself as the admin when needed.

**What do you dislike about Jolt?**

I call it "Tablet Tapping" wich is like pencil whipping.  We have had technology issues that will hold up operations but our CSM's strive to correct it when they are aware.  Lastly, not being able to customize a McDonald;s form.

JOLT's customer service has been great! They have a team of experts that help to resolve all of your issues from lists, to labels, to settings and beyond.
JOLT helps me to keep my business running efficiently & eliminating any room for errors.

**What do you dislike about Jolt?**

My only suggestion for improvement with JOLT is the ability to customize the lists more. Having the option to select from different layouts, such as a chart/calendar view, and attaching more than one file from the information library (i.e. a pdf & video). The lists we have created for our business could be better. Not every company operates on just a simple checklist to be repeated daily or weekly; they need to be customized from time to time, depending on the nature of the business.

Our JOLT customer service manager is currently brining a couple of requests to the attention of their development team:
1) Simplifying the process for creating a label template, so it is more 'user friendly'
2) Reviewing different features within the 'Lists' so we can customize them more to meet our businesses day to day operations

Customer service has been outstanding with Jolt. They are very responsive. And believe it or not, the people I call actually answer the phone if they are available. I always get a reply to my emails in a timely manner.

I have not had one complaint with Jolt. It's been a wonderful solution for us. They have grown recently and I, like everyone else, don't like change, there have been many new people at Jolt, and I miss those who have left, but the new people coming in are doing an excellent job filling big shoes.

Last night before closing I got a warning that the UT Wing Cooler was running warm, I was able to have the guys move the 10 cases of chicken wings out of this cooler before they left. In the morning, the wing cooler was not operational, and we were able to save all that product. Thank you, Jolt!

The simplicity of use, yet the complex and long-range ability to due everything in one software for our kitchen operations is incredibley appealing and helpful!

The design can be better. I know it will get better too :)

When it comes to using all-in-one software, design is critical, especially for kitchen staff that is quite busy. The more simple, the better

The representatives take the time to help you understand the program and teach you to use Jolt effectively for the business. I have been fortunate enough to have a WONDERFUL rep help me over the last few weeks.

Without Kristen, I would have been LOST and overwhelmed. Many features can be easily overlooked, and multiple steps must be learned. Having a good representative makes all the difference.

Personally, we needed to revise multiple tasks lists that were not being completed, and we also needed a new way to track automatic orders. Kristen was able to teach me how to do both.

My favorite thing about Jolt thus far is how easy it is to use and the incredible customer service department. My rep is always ready to help us out with any software issue!

**What do you dislike about Jolt?**

It could be more customizable for specific tasks, but otherwise, there aren't many improvements that are honestly needed. It's a program so sometimes things happen, yet the service department is always ready to assist.

I currently am having delay issues in lists, and my rep helped me figure out what is slowing the program. Short story even shorter, Jolt will resolve all problems.

uptime.  The system has been reliably and we haven't experienced down time.

Customer service used to be excellent, now it's been 3 weeks to reach an account manager and still no one calls back despite three emails and two phone calls messages.

Staff are not exactly in love with the format but it helps us track inspections, until we find another provider.

This company will not call you back. they have no customer service

**What do you dislike about Jolt?**

This company will not call you back. They have no customer service. They hook you in with a free trial and then make it impossible to cancel. Any company that does not have a way to cancel online and then does not call you back to cancel is not ethical. Stay away!

No benefits at all! We wanted to cancel, and they would not return calls or emails. we had to dispute the charges

Only tech support is via email or phone. No onsite visits in NZ. Only suitable for the USA

Jolt lists keep everyone in check and and allow our team to be held accountable and to a higher standard.

**What do you dislike about Jolt?**

Getting used to the new app is probably the thing we most dislike. Our team isn't a fan of change when it comes to that, but I know they'll get used to it. We can automatically tell there is a bit of a lag when you click on the new app and try to print something. But other than that, we love Jolt.

For problem solving: we figure out who completed a list item when it might not be clean to our expectations. It's a learning opportunity for most. 

For the benefits we've realized, we feel our team is on a more consistent schedule when completing cleaning lists and others items critical to passing our health inspection.

I like the edit features on the website, makes it easy to customize lists. 
Reminding managers to do lists has been very helpful as well, the due date function is very useful for me.

**What do you dislike about Jolt?**

When you are off the app for days, it takes a long time to sync back up.
Recently the slider bar has gone away for showing "swept items", I wish we could get that back. It made it easier for me to follow up on shift for those getting specific things on list done correctly.

**Recommendations to others considering Jolt:**

Get your team on board and show them all the ways it can help. Use a fast device. For us we had to reset our app in the actual app, (as shown on website) every little bit to make sure it was as fast as possible. 
ipads work well, samsung tablets are so so.

reminders. easier to get lists done, and keep track of completion. Realized that using technology makes the follow up and tracking process much easier.

Jolt holds us accountable for the things that we do on a regular basis.  We have the ability to be reminded to complete lists, notified of completions and incomplete lists, create new lists, take photos, videos and make notes and ALL of this is hosted on Jolts servers that you can access at any time.

**What do you dislike about Jolt?**

Jolt is making updates to their platform and decided to archive some lists to the point were they weren't accessible from the front end that we have access to.   Our main reason for using Jolt is to keep digital copies of lists that can be referenced at any time.  To have the company make the decision on our behalf to archive lists makes zero sense.  They were restored after several complaints on our side but that has really soured the experience.

We kept paper copies of lists and scanned them to be uploaded to folders.  No more need to do this.

**What do you like best about Jolt?**

Yes, the checklist and label printing are great, but my favorite function is how we have used the lists to go almost completely paperless in our communications and requests.  We use to have paper notes all over the place and they would get lost and never addressed.  Now, if anyone needs something of a leader, there is a list for that.  You need a uniform, fill out the list and it is emailed to the person in charge of uniforms. A peice of equipment needs to be serviced.  There’s a list for that.  The team knows that they can go onto jolt and get things addressed quickly.

Our communication has been streamlined to go to the right person immediately.  No more lost paper.

**What do you dislike about Jolt?**

The initial setup can be a bit tedious and daunting.   Could be a little more user friendly on the front end.

Checklists are readily available.  We can track anything we want.  Communication is also much better because of Jolt.

This is extremely easy to use and makes scheduling so much easier, especially for several employees. I like that you can have multiple admins and users.
Our company also apprieciates that there is an app! We have many students that join us, and when you tell them that they can view their schedules on their phone, they get excited.

**What do you dislike about Jolt?**

Sometimes emails do not get sent out, even after the schedule has been posted.
There should be a way for employees to set up their own username and password and just have to enter an employer code, it would make the invitation email less troublesome, as it has in the past.

We began using Jolt for in process labeling at our food manufacturing facility.  We purchased this system because it was not a big cost to purchase and use. We also were aware of the other possibilities for this system here since it does so much more than labels.  Although we still are not fully utilizing this system, we are now using it for Finished product labels, message center for weather issues, it has become our time clock for all employees to use to punch in and out, it can help track employee history, it has pictures of all who punch in, so we use it for new employees to identify people, Those are just a few items we are using, but want to use for so much more.

Cannot think of anything I dislike about this.

I would recommend this system to anyone.

This system is easy to use and training of new employees is a breeze. It's also highly customisable to our needs. It really saves time during scheduling of tasks. It has really eliminated a lot of paperwork in our company.

I don't have anything to dislike about this software. However on my opinion, I think it would be nice to see some more functionality added to this software.

App constantly needs to be reloaded and can be glitchy causing the employee to have to exit the app and reopen to pick-up where they left off.

Accountability is a large problem in our company, this app allows us to see what has or has not been done in a shift and address it with specific people instead of the entire staff because of not knowing who was responsible for that task.

Jolt has streamlined our employee operations from the daily timeclock function, payroll, employee messaging, employee checklist, file and video libraries and scheduler - everything to run our multi-dimensional business is in one location. The reports are also fantastic and have proven easy to run and useful with my directors above me. 

**What do you dislike about Jolt?**

Entering employee scheduling information is a bit challenging. Employee shift preferences, vacation time, etc... is a bit clunky compared to other scheduling heavy software such as When to Work, When We Work, etc... I hope they will improve this feature since I have a large number of employees with irregular shift work.

Jolt is an application worth exploring for your business. We have found countless opportunities to utilize Jolt where in the past we relied on other software applications - this has put everything in one place and has saved us money as well.

We utilize Jolt for scheduling, payroll, timeclock and employee education. Having everything in one place has been helpful in minimizing extra time importing and converting clock-ins, payroll hours, etc. One of the most helpful features is the hourly employee cost breakdown. I like knowing exactly how much I'm paying out vs. bringing in. The library feature has been very helpful in creating a database for employees. We also utilize their lists feature.

Jolt organizes time off and unavailable requests well. It also color codes requests while putting the schedule together so it is easier to visualize.

It would be incredibly helpful for scheduling to have the ability to look at a monthly calendar. It’s a huge hassle to have to keep scrolling across weeks to out the month together.

Jolt makes scheduling ten times easier!! You can release and pick up shifts at the click of a button! It is also easy To manage a teams schedule and see where the holes are.

Logging in can be tricky. It usually has you put your username and password twice which can be inconvenient.

Definitely try it out ! It never hurts to try!!

Be prepared to take at least 1 day to learn how to fully set up and use the software. Be prepared to take 5 - 10 minutes to teach employees how to use the app.

We were able to solve the problem of having to check behind employees and find out about incomplete tasks after the fact. Now employees are motivated to take care of tasks in a timely fashion, and even if things are not completed to satisfaction, they know that it is part of a regular record and they will have a chance to show regular improvement.
We have benefited from a clear channel of communications between managers and team members that does not rely on memory, post-it notes, or incidental scheduling.

**What do you like best about Jolt?**

I have temperature sensors in all of my freezers and I get alerted when they are out of range.  This has saved my inventory from melting many times.  I am often able to call into the store and start troubleshooting the issue before any of the employees have even noticed that there is a problem.  And the alerts are fully customizable.

Managing schedules, time off requests, shift swaps, etc are very easy to manage in Jolt.  And all of the owners and mangers have access to this even though some of the owners live out of state.

**What do you dislike about Jolt?**

Not all features are available from the android app.  But it is not a major concern because I can still access everything from a web browser on my phone.

**What problems is Jolt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jolt allows my and the other owners to keep a pulse on our stores even though we are not in the stores often.
