Invideo user interface and the ease of access in the website makes it easier even for a non-technical person to use the software to its full extent. The upside is definitely the different set of tools for editing and fine-tuning videos through simple click, prompt style video generation and editing which makes it easy to use in the first place. The concept is promising, and the AI was capable of generating a range of visual assets, voiceovers and video clips from my original brief. The iPad interface was extraordinarily confusing. I could not clearly identify, preview or download the supposedly completed 20-second video. The workspace presented numerous threads, stills, clips and repeated generations without making the final export obvious. Even with ChatGPT guiding me step by step, I spent two days going in circles.

Support initially focused on credits rather than the usability problem. I attempted to submit the refund form three times, but it failed, and I then received a canned response directing me back to the same form. Only after further complaints did support explain that completed exports were hidden in “thread 9” and “thread 19.” A customer should not need to understand an internal thread structure or contact support simply to locate the finished product. My experience with InVideo has been extremely disappointing.

The platform is misleading about what it can realistically produce and how much it will actually cost. I attempted to create a 9-minute cartoon and ended up looking at a cost of well over £100 in credits for ONE video, with 6+ hours of generation time.

One of my biggest issues is that the AI repeatedly makes its own errors, yet you are charged credits to correct those errors. In my experience, those credits were not refunded, despite the mistakes being generated by the platform itself.

I also found the customer service and handling of my complaint completely unacceptable and, in my opinion, unethical. Rather than properly addressing the excessive credit consumption and problems with the generated content, I was left paying for a product that did not perform as I reasonably expected.

Potential customers should be extremely careful before purchasing credits or committing to this platform. The advertised subscription cost does not necessarily reflect what it can actually cost to produce a finished, usable video.

I started using this program years ago. Loved it then. The more they seem to charge the worse the renders seem to be. It has become more complicated and difficult to use over the years, and it's much more expensive now. I spent hours trying to render videos that should have been covered by my plan, but they kept charging me more. The videos rendered were completely useless, just blurry images, and when I tried to fix it, they wanted more money. Customer service was also a letdown; their response seemed like it was written by AI and didn't address the quality issues I experienced. The overall experience was just horrible, leading me to cancel my platform and service. Also, when I gave a prompt to create a video, it charged me for renders with useless information, and the resulting videos had missing audio or images. Trying to fix those issues led to more charges. While the platform is effective for creating short marketing videos, I found significant limitations when attempting to use it for professional documentary and analytical content. The Italian voice generation was not sufficiently natural for high-quality narration, and the overall workflow appeared optimized for social media production rather than long-form editorial projects. I also found the level of control over the final output more limited than expected. Finally, I was disappointed by the refund policy, as my same-day refund request was denied after a brief evaluation because some credits had been consumed during testing. I didn’t like the credit system, because subscription-based credit models usually make it harder to understand what you’re actually paying and harder to predict control costs. I also wasn’t very happy with the user interface. Even the initial setup felt a bit confusing, and that was before I even started my project.

On top of that, I found the AI engine to be what I’d call “lazy.” By that I mean it would do things during content generation like dressing a group of people in almost the exact same clothing. That’s obviously not what you want, and then you end up spending more credits (and more money) to fix what I saw as poor AI output.

In my current production cycle, I utilize InVideo strictly as a standalone video generation and editing tool, meaning I do not currently have active integrations linked to our primary content management systems or external software stacks. However, looking at the platform's integration architecture, if our workflow had expanded, we would have evaluated deploying their native publishing connections to platforms like YouTube and TikTok, alongside their cloud storage links for Google Drive or Dropbox asset syncing. For our present requirements, the core standalone features provide a complete out-of-the-box solution without requiring these third-party hooks, but the infrastructure is there to support scaling for those who need it.

For support and onboarding, I had a back-and-forth conversation with customer service where I explained my frustrations and why I didn’t think the platform was a good fit. They didn't deliver what I asked for, and the credit consumption was really, really abusive. I felt robbed. At the beginning, it's easy because they want you to pay, and then when you start paying, they won't deliver what you're asking for, and the quality is very poor. I use InVideo to quickly turn my photos into videos, which is great for solving my scenario problems. All my favorite AI tools are in InVideo, and I love using SeeDance and SeeDream. The generative templates are very useful for me, and I like the kling effects. It's very nice that InVideo is web-based because I do not like to install programs. The setup was also very easy.
