Firstly, I like Hostinger's smooth and user-friendly UI. It feels very smooth while I am working, and the interface is neat and clean, which makes it easy to manage everything without confusion. The main problem with Hostinger is its billing system. There are some hidden or unclear charges that you usually find out about later, which can be confusing. Also, customer support is not always up to the mark, especially when you need quick or technical help. We originally liked the value for the Cloud hosting service. When it works normally, the best part of Hostinger is the convenience of having domains, DNS, hosting, SSL, and email management in one dashboard with straightforward navigation. Title: Hostinger forced a logout mid-session after email/domain change — chat-only support + invasive “verification”

Review:

We’ve been paying Hostinger customers for years, using their domain registrar, web hosting, and professional email services. On December 12, 2025, after we updated our business email address and changed our domain, Hostinger flagged “suspicious activity” and forced a mid-session logout—we were actively using the platform when access was cut off. We were then locked out of our Hostinger account and unable to access services we’ve already paid for, including business-critical domains, DNS, hosting, and email.

In short: Hostinger forcibly logged us out after a routine email/domain update and then demanded highly sensitive financial documentation—with no phone escalation—while our infrastructure remained inaccessible.

Since then, the Hostinger account recovery process has been chaotic and high-risk. Support requested images of debit/credit cards used for payments and bank statements as part of “verification.” I understand security controls, but forcing customers into a workflow this sensitive—while they’re locked out and cannot confidently validate every request in real time—creates a serious trust and security problem. This is exactly how legitimate customers get trapped between “prove it’s you” and “don’t share sensitive documents unless you’re 100% sure who’s asking.”

The other major issue is the lack of meaningful phone support. When domains, DNS, and business email are mission-critical, chat-only support (often feeling automated) is not acceptable during an urgent lockout. A provider selling business infrastructure should have a clear, human-led escalation path when access to paid assets is restricted.

Beyond this incident, the value proposition is weak. Hosting performance is comparable to other mainstream providers, and domain pricing and transfers have increased enough that staying on is no longer cost-effective. If/when access is restored, we will migrate all services to another provider.

What Hostinger should improve (immediately):

* Provide a real human escalation path for account lockouts (phone or verified live escalation).

* Publish a clear step-by-step account recovery checklist with timelines and decision points.

* Use safer payment verification options (or explicitly allow redaction and clearly state document storage, access controls, and retention/deletion).

* Don’t hold DNS/domain access hostage during a “review” when ownership can be verified through safer methods.

I’ve been using Hostinger for my business for the past three years, and it’s been great. It’s reliable, affordable, and easy to use. With features like managed WordPress hosting, LiteSpeed CDN, and the new AI website builder “Kodee,” everything runs smoothly. Kodee can create a full website from a single prompt, and the setup is simple thanks to their video guides.

The customer support is excellent. You can chat with AI or real people who actually know what they’re doing. Hostinger also gives nice perks like a free domain and email with hosting. The hPanel control panel is much more user-friendly than cPanel - it's clean, intuitive, and perfect for beginners who don't want to deal with technical complexities.

I really appreciate that SSL certificates, weekly backups, and CDN are included for free. The customer support via live chat is responsive, usually answering within 5 minutes, and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. The main issue I've encountered is inconsistent performance - sometimes the Time to First Byte (TTFB) can spike up to 1.3 seconds, which affects loading speeds. I have issues with web optimization and hosting slowdowns sometimes. Websites can slow down during busy times or after updates, which is a bit frustrating. More simple tools to speed up sites would be really helpful. Also, better alerts about server load would improve the experience. Well, so far I have nothing negative to say. I don't have many websites to thoroughly evaluate the hosting performance, but for now I am very satisfied. However, I have the impression that the support used to be more personalized. The current bot doesn't assist me in the same way, and I really hope they can improve that aspect. Since sharing my review, I have moved to VPS hosting, which is slightly cheaper than Cloud Hosting, but has dedicated server resources, strong performance. It is hard to manage since it's completely managed by me, but 3rd party panels like Cyber panel have made the job easy. Even after being a VPS it's on the lower end of performance for VPS level hostings, which might explain there low costs. The resources are ample, but ttfb is still 600ms+, and despite my best efforts it doesn't go down, likely hinting at server wakeup delays.

It seems like a great value for money, and now I don't have major complaints with it, but at the same time it is nowhere close to ideal yet. Though due to the value for money it offers, I intend to continue using it for atleast next 6 months. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

They can be more transparent by providing analytics hinting at how sever is performing. The resources are poorly explained, like they say 200 GB SSD, good knows how old is it, for all I know it could be an ancient SATA SSD from 2 decades ago (Im not alleging anything but they can explain). That's true even for CPU. 4 CPU cores is meaningless. When comparing there plans I know that 4 cores > 2 cores, but how do I know how my cpu stacks with the competing services. Recently our hosting server got migrated to new server and transmission was very smooth, also we got ample of time to new IP pointing and during that period Hostinger keep our website running with redirection which help us for zero downtime in this whole process .
