Alexandria is a library management system that allows you to host your own server or be hosted in their cloud. Cloud access provides a websites available for both searching and circulation and of the system. The company offered an update that wasn’t to make the software more innovative and flexible. Unfortunately not everyone can get the update. They limited the amount with no real reason why. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

A year or two ago they updated the entire program to be web based. We host ours in house but I can mange it from anywhere through the web GUI Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Its a bit browser picky. When using Chrome I have no issues but with Firefox the refresh of the screen lags a bunch Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Alexandria is extremely efficient. Every task one needs to perform in a library can be done easily with Alexandria. I just started using this software in the library that I'm working at. It was pretty easy to use within the first few days. The customer service is fast and efficient as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think updates are needed. For example, when I try to add a grade for a student/patron I type it in once and then the system makes me confirm that change again with a dropdown menu. I also needed to upgrade various patrons who had graduated to the next grade and had to upgrade them one by one instead of a whole group at a time. I believe this system can be more efficient.
