I use 99tests to get crowdsourced software testing and QA support, which helps validate apps, websites, and features by having real testers find bugs, usability issues, and compatibility problems. I like that it provides broader test coverage without needing a large in-house QA team. The most valuable aspect is having access to real testers across different devices and environments, which gives genuine, real-world feedback instead of just internal testing results. This access is crucial because it helps catch issues that wouldn't appear in a controlled internal setup, exposing edge cases we might miss due to different OS versions, screen sizes, network conditions, and user behaviors. Another feature I find particularly beneficial is the global network of real testers that allows testing across different devices, locations, and environments. The initial setup of 99tests was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Because testing is done by a large crowd of individual testers, the quality and consistency of test results can vary depending on skills and thoroughness. Providing clearer, standardized templates or checklists for reporting bugs would help reduce variability in how issues are described. More consistent reports make triage faster and less ambiguous.
