The amount of the chargeback is automatically deducted from your merchant account. Once a chargeback has been initiated, 2Checkout acts as a mediator between the bank, the customer and you. You will receive a request for additional details regarding the transaction to help us defend the dispute against the bank. 2Checkout forwards all details received from you to the bank, adding further explanations if necessary. Based on the evidence received from 2Checkout and from the buyer, the bank and the credit/debit card issuer offer a resolution to the dispute. The outcome of the dispute is based on a standard set of rules and regulations created by Visa/MasterCard and is always decided by the cardholder’s card issuer. On April 27 2021, I learned from 3d parties that starting from April 29 2021, 2checkout stops supporting Mastercards. 2checkout did not send any notifications about the changes even to its vendors! All subscriptions that use the payment method will stop working and 2checkout did not find it necessary to inform its vendors and purchasers. What do you dislike about 2Checkout Monetization Platform? When you first register, they answer you immediately with a request to disclose your personal and businesses information. Once you have sent them private details about your company, they start ignoring you and pretending like they are dealing with the issue, while they aren't. People working for the customer support do not speak proper English, as there were always grammar and spelling mistakes in their messages. I regret not googling them beforehand to check their credibility, but from my personal experience and the experience they are a scam that focuses on collecting user information and, perhaps, selling it to the third parties. Please know that personal and business information is required in order for 2Checkout and the merchant to comply with anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism regulations, financial services and other applicable laws and regulations, as well as Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements imposed by the Payment Organizations and Acquirers. To achieve this level of compliance, the merchant needs to provide information about itself, its activities, its shareholders, its tax ID / VAT ID, and its nexus (before or when entering into the Merchant Agreement). As per the agreement signed by both the merchant and 2Checkout, each party needs to maintain the confidentiality of the other’s Confidential Information and will not disclose such Confidential Information, unless it is necessary to perform the Services under this Agreement, is allowed under this Agreement or is required by law or court order.
