# What sales training tools combine live coaching sessions with interactive skill-building exercises rather than just giving reps videos to watch on their own?

I am looking for input from the sales training and onboarding community, specifically on this combination: tools that pair structured live coaching with interactive practice, not just video playlists. The problem most teams describe is that passive video completion creates the illusion of readiness without building the skills that show up in live calls. Curious what's actually working.

Mindtickle: Combines structured learning paths with manager coaching tools, call recording review, and AI-powered roleplay that requires active participation rather than passive watching. The AI voice trainer delivers realistic speech simulation where reps practice client conversations with real-time feedback on tone, timing, and delivery.

SalesHood: Video pitch recording, AI roleplay, and peer learning make reps active participants rather than passive viewers. Reps submit recordings, managers grade them against specific criteria, and the platform creates a practice loop that connects what was learned to how it sounds in a real conversation.

Second Nature AI: Built entirely around an AI-powered sales conversation practice where reps engage in realistic multi-turn conversations with an AI buyer rather than watching an instructional video. The roleplay feedback is immediate and tied to specific skill criteria, making it one of the most interactive practice environments in the category.

Hyperbound: AI roleplay is its core design principle. All skill development is built around interactive AI-powered sales conversation simulations that require active engagement, not content consumption. For teams where the primary gap is rep confidence and call execution rather than content knowledge, Hyperbound's coaching-first design addresses the core problem directly.

Symtrain: The platform pairs interactive simulation with the structured coaching program layer, so reps aren't just practicing in isolation.

And has interactive AI practice actually changed behavior in live calls, or does the transfer still feel incomplete?

Second Nature and Hyperbound are probably the closest to solving the “practice” side, but they still rely on how teams use them. SalesHood and Mindtickle bring in the coaching layer more explicitly, which might matter more long term. Without that, the simulations can feel a bit isolated.
