# What sales training software avoids the generic content trap and actually lets you tailor curriculum to the way your reps sell in the real world?

Hey G2 community! I am putting together a piece on which sales training platforms actually let you build a curriculum around how your team sells, not around a generic course catalog someone else designed.

Mindtickle: Structured learning paths here are built around role and deal stage rather than topic. Admins assign paths by function, sequence modules in a specific order, and build in-video knowledge checks that reinforce the exact skills reps need at each stage of the pipeline.

SalesHood: Content here is organized around playbooks and sales stages rather than generic learning topics. Teams build courses from their own internal videos, documents, and quizzes mapped to how deals actually move.

SmartWinnr: The platform is built specifically for sales teams that need reinforcement programs aligned to specific products, territories, and methodologies, with gamification and scoring that drive engagement with motion-specific content rather than passive clicking.

Trainual: Mandatory sequencing, where module A must be completed before B unlocks, makes it possible to build a structured curriculum that reflects a specific sales process in the correct order, not just a menu of topics. Role-based assignment ensures each rep only sees content tied to their function.

And has building your own motion-specific content been harder or easier than expected once you were inside the platform?

A lot of tools say they’re customizable, but it still ends up feeling like a content dump. The difference seems to be whether the tool actually helps structure things around how deals move. Mindtickle and Trainual feel a bit stronger there.

P.S. Have you seen anything that keeps that alignment over time, not just at setup?
