&lt;p&gt;The parallel-spreadsheet question is a strong adoption test. I’d go one step further and ask what event finally made planners trust the system enough to stop maintaining that backup: a rush order, material shortage, machine outage, or major schedule change. If the APS can replan one of those situations and produce a schedule operators actually follow, that says much more than whether the initial production plan looks good.&lt;/p&gt;
