# What's the best sales engagement tool for reducing tab-switching by centralising calls, emails and deal management in one workspace?

The best sales engagement tool for reducing tab-switching by centralising calls, emails, and deal management in one workspace is something sales teams across the board seem to be searching for. I've been exploring options in the sales engagement category and this specific problem comes up constantly in reviews. Reps describe the same pattern: log a call in one tab, draft a follow-up in another, update the deal stage in a third. It sounds minor until it's happening 40 times a day.

Based on G2 reviews, the tools that consistently come up for real workspace consolidation:

Close (4.7 stars, 2,045 reviews): Best known for putting calls, emails, SMS, deal pipeline, and contact history on a single screen. Purpose-built for inside sales teams who live in high call volume.

Apollo.io (4.7 stars, 9,681 reviews): Well suited for outbound-first teams that want prospecting, sequencing, and basic pipeline in one place. Chrome extension keeps LinkedIn prospecting in the same tab.

HubSpot Sales Hub (4.4 stars, 13,860 reviews): Best for teams already in the HubSpot ecosystem. Email tracking, meeting scheduling, sequences, and pipeline in one view with a relatively low learning curve.

Salesloft (4.5 stars, 4,287 reviews): Known for keeping emails, calls, tasks, and engagement signals in a single feed. Tight Salesforce sync is a big reason teams in that ecosystem stay on it.

Outreach (4.3 stars, 3,572 reviews): Multi-channel task management and sequencing in one workspace. Reviewers describe it as the first tab open every morning, though the interface takes time to get comfortable with.

Which of these has actually moved the needle on context switching for your team? And if you've tried consolidating onto one platform and ended up back to separate tools, what was the thing that didn't hold up?

There's a difference between consolidating screens and consolidating the record of truth. If the workspace is unified but the CRM is still the system of record, reps don't stop switching. They just trade tab-switching for checking whether the activity actually synced. Has consolidation ever ended up moving the toggling rather than removing it for anyone?
