Riverside is very interesting. It helped us record each person locally and save separate tracks, so editing later is way less messy than with the usual tools. It&#39;s super for podcasts or interview-style content.

Vidcast feels more natural for async knowledge sharing than formal enterprise training. If the goal is quick internal updates or lightweight documentation, it fits well. If the goal is standardized, polished content across teams, it may feel a bit lighter.

For us, the usability vs. IT/security was a real trade-off. The easiest tools for end users are not always the ones the IT team is happiest with, especially when recordings include internal processes, customer information, or sensitive training content.

On the scalability question, yes, licensing and user management become a big factor fast. A tool can look great in a pilot, then get much harder to manage once multiple departments, admins, and workflows are involved.
