# What is the best platform for territory and quota planning?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">I have been researching <a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/sales-planning">sales planning platform</a> that actually makes the process of territory and quota planning easier instead of more complicated.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">A lot of the options sound good on paper, but it’s hard to tell what teams are genuinely happy with once they’re using them day to day.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">A few names I keep running into:</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/anaplan/reviews"><strong>Anaplan</strong></a>: seems powerful for complex planning, but maybe heavy to manage</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/xactly/reviews"><strong>Xactly</strong></a>: looks strong if comp and quota planning need to tie together closely</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/varicent-varicent/reviews"><strong>Varicent</strong></a>: heard it’s good for larger sales orgs, but not sure how flexible it feels</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/clari/reviews"><strong>Clari</strong></a>: I know it’s more known for forecasting, but curious if anyone uses it for planning too</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/pigment-2024-01-19/reviews"><strong>Pigment</strong></a>: seems modern and easier to work with, wondering how mature it is for sales planning</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Biggest thing I’m trying to figure out:</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Does a dedicated platform actually make territory/quota planning smoother and more accurate, or does it just replace spreadsheet pain with system admin pain?</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Would love to hear what people are actually using, what’s worked well, and what’s not worth the effort.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"></p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"></p>

At some point, it seems less about features and more about which platform sales ops teams don’t hate using every quarter!
