# What FTP software is best for managing large file transfers across a corporate network where speed and reliability under load actually matter?

What actually caps a large transfer is the link, the disk at either end, or on-access antivirus scanning the file as it lands, which means benchmarking two MFT products against each other often just measures your own infrastructure twice. The retry and error-handling point above is the more useful axis for exactly that reason. Worth running your test with AV exclusions configured the way they&#39;ll be in production, since that one setting moves throughput more than the vendor choice usually does.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
