One thing we learned is that removing risky emails improves more than just bounce rates. It also helps with inbox placement over time, which is harder to measure but noticeable.

For us, ZeroBounce has been the most reliable for flagging risky emails like spam traps and disposables. It’s not just about invalid emails; it actually helps protect sender reputation. We usually run lists through it before every major campaign.

### Comment 3

What we considered was how verification fits into our workflow. Doing it before import vs. after segmentation can significantly change results. We had better outcomes when cleaning lists before they entered the CRM. It reduced downstream issues a lot.

#### Reply 1

For “grey” addresses, we don’t drop them immediately. We usually re-verify after a few weeks and only remove them if they keep showing low engagement or fail again.
