You can easily share video from various sources on screen but have to remember to share the audio as well. Also be mindful about the video because not all members have good band width and they might receive the video fragmented with normal acceptable audio.

You can share video. However, when you click the Share button, there are 2 checkboxes at the bottom where you choose which screen to share: "Share computer sound" and "Optimize Screen Sharing for Video". Select both for video. This allows the sound to play for your meeting participants and it syncs the sound with the video. Otherwise, the sound is off from the video. Important note, if later you're sharing something else, like a spreadsheet or PPT, deselect those 2 checkboxes or your screen share will not be crispt.

You can absolutely do that! You just click on the setting "mute participants upon entry"- and Uncheck the box that says "participants can unmute themselves." Then, you just have to remember to unmute everyone when you want them to speak.

Hi Sue, This is Shaun from G2. I manage our education categories. You have my deep respect for running Zoom calls with a group of third-graders! (And I can tell you from personal experience, full-grown adults also struggle mightily with properly muting themselves on Zoom, so you are hardly alone in dealing with this problem.) Luckily, Zoom has features that allow meeting hosts to mute participants’ audio. When you are hosting a meeting, click on the “Manage Participants” button on the control bar to show the list of participants. Within that menu, you should see a button at the bottom that says “mute all.” When you click it, it should give you the option to allow participants to unmute themselves, so you can decide if that option makes sense for your students. Zoom has more detailed instructions on this setting and many other controls that hosts have: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/115005759423-Managing-participants-in-a-meeting. If you decide not to let students unmute themselves, you could consider teaching students how to use the “raise hand” function. If a meeting participant clicks on that same participants menu, there should be a button at the bottom that says “raise hand.” When a student clicks this, a little hand icon will appear by their name in the participants list. That way, you will be able to see which students want to speak and unmute them yourself as you call on them.
