Question on: Sage Intacct

What is the best way to forecast revenue from different types of revenue streams?

We have clients that are charged differently based on a contract. They are charged based on portfolio size, they have a based rate and incentive rate. We are not sure how to properly forecast these in conjunction with portfolio size when the portfolio is not in Intacct, but reported on from a different department.

Sounds like something you will need to analyze in excel by pulling in the various components for each portfolio.

As I answer every question asked by my kids - Very carefully! Suggest finding revenue drivers (eg, transactions, time, items) then multiple variable by expected rate you will charge (P x Q) to get projected revenue.

How to check how many cpq license in saleforce?

I'm trying to find the number of licensed users I currently have. Where do I check this?

You can check CPQ licenses in Salesforce by navigating to Setup > Company Information and looking under the Installed Packages section or by checking Users with the CPQ license assigned.

Which subscription billing tools reduce billing-related support tickets by catching errors before customers see them?

Running usage-based and fixed-fee pricing side by side trips up more billing platforms than vendors admit, since usage metering and flat subscription logic are built differently underneath. We compared the best Subscription Billing platforms for SaaS companies running both models at once.

These platforms come up most for this combination:

Chargebee: Reviewers cite native support for hybrid pricing, usage-based add-ons layered on flat subscription tiers, without custom invoice logic.
Stripe Billing: Flexible metering combined with fixed subscription items, though several reviewers say complex hybrid structures need more custom logic than Chargebee's out-of-box setup.
Stax Bill: Mid-market SaaS reviewers cite usage-based billing alongside tiered plans, with automated proration when customers switch models.
Gotransverse: Deep usage-metering capability for complex, high-volume scenarios, though a smaller review base suggests a narrower buyer than the others here.

For companies that migrated from pure fixed-fee to hybrid pricing, which of these required the least re-platforming versus just adding a new pricing configuration?

With hybrid pricing, I’d want a shadow billing run before changing anything customer-facing. Feed the same month of real usage through the old and new configurations, then compare invoices line by line for metering, proration, credits, and plan changes. That seems like a much better test of whether Chargebee or another platform will actually reduce billing tickets than simply confirming it supports both pricing models.
