Question on: Freshdesk
Migrating from Sugar for CasesWe currently use a SUPER old SugarCRM account for our Obsessive Care Pipeline for Customer Support. We're looking at moving over to something newer. We have a webform already on our website that we use and want to keep using. We want to be able to use that and have the form load into a help desk and distribute from there. How hard will this be to do with your company?

My company switched from a very old version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM to Freshdesk about two years ago, and migration was nearly effortless. We were assigned a Freshdesk representative when we purchased our initial license and he did all of it for us. You just tell them what you need and they'll get it migrated for you. It will also give you a way to easily create a full customer portal that is straightforward and user-friendly. There are many module and add-on options that make it highly customizable regardless of your industry or department tasks. We use it primarily for Technical Support, but it could be easily used for almost any industry. I hope this helps!

We use Freshdesk as a helpdesk / tracking system for all work done.
It has its own API which means we load data to and extract data from it. I have personally written a program which loads information, updates it and extracts it to load into a database. The bottom line is you have control of the data held within the help desk and it would be fairly easy to display it in a webform as you require.
You could use pretty much any programming language.

had any one used reporting with kayakoIts been 2 months I am trying to understand how reports work here and its been more than an hour their tech support is trying to generate one report I don't think these reports are meant for ceo -- you might need one programmer for this.

We never found the Reports usable either. Since the data is in SQL we wrote our own reports engine. (I should note we also have tons of automated messages from our monitoring tools that come in to different departments that are for information only, so for any report we run, we usually want to filter those out.)
