What is availity used for?

With Essentials, you can check eligibility, submit and receive auths and referrals, submit claims, get claim status and receive electronic remittances for hundreds of payers nationwide. You can add even more payers with a subscription to Essentials Plus, and if you have practice management software that prepares batch files, you can submit those batches through Essentials with an EDI Clearinghouse subscription. Availity also offers Essentials Pro, a full suite of revenue cycle management solutions, including full clearinghouse access to every payer nationwide.
