Which Outbound Call Tracking tools prevent frustrating call drops during agent transfers and handoffs is a real pain point for outbound teams, since a dropped transfer usually means losing the prospect entirely rather than just an inconvenience. Genesys Cloud CX, Five9, and Salesloft come up most for handling transfers reliably.
- Genesys Cloud CX: built for complex routing and transfer scenarios at scale, with reliability often cited as a strength.
- Five9 Intelligent Cloud Contact Center Platform: known for stable call handling during warm transfers between agents.
- Salesloft: handles handoffs within its own dialer rather than routing through a separate transfer system.
- CTM: focused on call tracking accuracy, which extends to keeping transfer data intact rather than losing context mid-call.
- Vonage Contact Center (formerly NewVoiceMedia): built on a telephony backbone designed to minimize drops during agent-to-agent handoffs.
Has a dropped transfer ever cost your team a deal, and did it change which platform you use?
For outbound teams, the real reliability test is whether transfers preserve both the call and the context around it. I’d compare warm-transfer success rates, dropped-call frequency, routing behavior, and whether CRM or call-tracking data stays intact when ownership changes mid-conversation.
I've been researching what's the best Outbound Call Tracking software for integrating directly with your existing dialer and CRM systems, since a tool that doesn't sync cleanly with the CRM you already run just adds a second system reps have to update by hand. Salesloft, Close, and PhoneBurner are the three most cited for solid integration work.
- Salesloft: connects directly with major CRMs so call activity and outcomes log automatically without manual entry.
- Close: built with the CRM and dialer combined into one system rather than needing a separate integration layer.
- PhoneBurner: syncs call data back into existing CRMs, popular with teams that don't want to replace their CRM to get better dialing.
- ConnectAndSell: integrates with CRM systems while focusing heavily on live connect rates for outbound teams.
- Genesys Cloud CX: enterprise-grade integration options for larger teams running outbound alongside broader contact center operations.
For sales teams running outbound at volume, has a dialer-CRM integration ever silently broken on you, and how long did it take to notice?
The detection question is the sharp one, because sync failures in this stack are silent by nature: calls keep happening, reps keep dialing, and the gap only surfaces weeks later as a coaching review with missing calls or a pipeline report that undercounts activity. Which suggests the evaluation criterion nobody puts on the list: does the platform alert you when syncing fails, or is your monitoring system a manager noticing the numbers look thin?
Hi everyone,
We’re looking to improve how we track and analyze our outbound sales calls - mainly for lead follow-ups, client outreach, and SDR activity monitoring.
Our key priorities are:
- Seamless CRM integration
- Easy tracking of rep activity and outcomes
- Real-time reporting and call recording
- Scalability across a distributed team
Browsing G2’s Outbound Call Tracking category, a few platforms stood out:
- HubSpot Sales Hub – Offers built-in calling and CRM in one platform. Wondering how robust the reporting is for outbound teams?
- Salesloft – Looks great for SDR/BDR workflows. Is it overkill for a mid-sized IT firm?
- TeleCMI – Cloud telephony with call tracking—any experiences with reliability or integrations?
- OpenPhone – Lightweight and affordable. Anyone use it for outbound in a B2B tech context?
Thanks in advance for the insights- really appreciate your feedback! 🙌
You could look into HubSpot Sales Hub if you want built-in calling and CRM in one place, though I'm not sure how deep the outbound reporting goes. Salesloft seems ideal for SDR teams but might be a bit much for mid-sized IT firms.
