Dell PowerScale is a scale-out NAS platform for enterprise unstructured data and a storage engine in Dell AI Data Platform. Powered by the OneFS operating system, it provides a single namespace with unified file and object access for storage into a single intelligent namespace that scales from terabytes to over 700 petabytes without disruption—eliminating data silos and simplifying management of unstructured data at any scale. Built for AI and Data-Intensive Workloads: PowerScale is purpose-engineered to accelerate AI/ML training and inference, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), big data analytics, media production, life sciences, high-performance computing and other data-intensive workloads. PowerScale supports high-throughput parallel access and non-disruptive expansion from terabytes to petabytes. It is available in all-flash, hybrid, and archive configurations for on-premises and supported cloud deployments, including AWS and Azure.
Selected PowerScale configurations are validated with NVIDIA AI infrastructure, including DGX SuperPOD and DGX BasePOD reference architectures.
