Every nonprofit is different, but there are a few things I would recommend if you're trying to choose the best for you.
First, I would recommend that you look for something that is especially easy to use. This is because you need to use this software everyday, and if it is not easy, you and your team will not implement it consistently. For this reason, it's often wise to choose a simple, streamlined tool.
I would also recommend that You choose a tool that will help you build long term relationships with donors, volunteers, and other contacts. Ideally something that helps you remember who to engage with, and when.
Finally, I would recommend that you find a tool that is a wise investment of your funds. Don't just look at price, but overall experience. More features is not always better - look at the quality of the overall experience.
One tool that meets these criteria and more is DonorDock. DonorDock is an award winning and highly reviewed nonprofit CRM and online giving tool. I would welcome you to take a look or connect with the DonorDock team at donordock.com to see what tool might be the best fit for you.
No matter what, the Donor Management tool you choose needs to be the best fit for you and your needs, and you understand your needs best. I hope this helps Identify the most important factors to consider as you make your choice! Thanks!

Question on: Salsa CRM
How will CRM software help my nonprofit?I spent several years helping small nonprofit's grow quickly and raise more funds. In my experience, an effective CRM software was one of the most important things a small nonprofit could do to take their organization to the next level.
For smaller nonprofits, CRM's can feel expensive, but they really are an important element of growth. Specifically, a good CRM will help steward donors, retain donors, and help build long term relationships that lead to major gifts.
A great CRM for nonprofits will include the following:
- Donor Management and Contact Management
- Online Giving Pages
- Email Marketing
- Reporting and Visualizations
***Recommended Tools***
My advice would be to look for an affordable, well rated tool. If you're a small nonprofit, my top suggestion would be DonorDock. If you're a large nonprofit with a fundraising team and large budget, I would recommend B.
If you're a small nonprofit, you can check out DonorDock at https://www.donordock.com, or view their G2 profile here: https://www.g2.com/products/donordock/reviews?
