I was sitting in my high school math class. It was my junior year, near the end of the semester, and the teacher called me up for a one-on-one conference about my grade.

[Which education ERP suites automate degree audits and graduation requirement tracking across multiple programs and departments?](/discussions/which-education-erp-suites-automate-degree-audits-and-graduation-requirement-tracking-across-multiple-programs-and-departments)

Hey G2’ers! I was wondering if degree audits must get complicated fast once you're tracking requirements across many programs, majors, minors, and departments. Hence, I've been researching which education ERP suites actually automate that rather than leaving advisors to reconcile it by hand.

Here's what reviewers in the [Education ERP Suites category](https://www.g2.com/categories/education-erp-suites) say about degree-audit and graduation-tracking capability.

- [**Ellucian Student**](https://www.g2.com/products/ellucian-student/reviews) **:** Reviewers call the degree-planning and audit tools comprehensive, helping advisors and students see a clear academic pathway and reduce time to completion. One noted limitation: a dual-major student could not run an audit on both majors at once, worth checking if double-majors are common for you.
- [**Anthology Student**](https://www.g2.com/products/anthology-student/reviews) **:** Ships with degree auditing and academic planning out of the box, which reviewers point to as core strengths of the SaaS platform for keeping students on track to requirements. Smaller review base, so confirm multi-program handling directly.
- [**PeopleSoft Campus Solutions**](https://www.g2.com/products/peoplesoft-campus-solutions/reviews) **:** Its depth and customization let institutions model complex, program-specific requirements and approvals, which reviewers value for varied academic structures. That power comes with the setup and maintenance overhead they consistently flag.
- [**Workday Student**](https://www.g2.com/products/workday-student/reviews) **:** Built to guide learners along their pathway and surface progress to graduation, with curriculum and academic planning on the same platform. Reviewers note you may need to align institutional practice with its no-code configuration model.

For multi-program degree audits specifically, which of these handled the messy cases, double majors, transfer credit, and catalog-year changes without manual advisor workarounds? Curious where the automation held and where it broke down.

Transfer credit articulation is where audit automation breaks first, and it breaks quietly: the audit runs, it's just wrong until someone maps the incoming courses properly. Double majors second, as your Ellucian note suggests. Catalog-year changes actually hold up if catalogs were versioned cleanly from the start. The realistic goal isn't zero advisor workarounds, it's making exceptions something the system logs instead of something that lives in email.

[Which education ERP platforms integrate financial aid, FAFSA processing, and institutional scholarships with student portals in a single system?](/discussions/which-education-erp-platforms-integrate-financial-aid-fafsa-processing-and-institutional-scholarships-with-student-portals-in-a-single-system)

I’ve observed that Financial aid is where a lot of institutions feel the pain of disconnected systems, so I've been looking at which education ERP platforms bring aid processing, federal aid workflows, and institutional scholarships into the same system students already use. Within the [Education ERP Suites category](https://www.g2.com/categories/education-erp-suites), these higher-ed suites come up for handling aid inside the student record rather than as a separate silo.

- [**Ellucian Student**](https://www.g2.com/products/ellucian-student/reviews) **:** Reviewers describe running financial aid awarding and disbursement directly in the system alongside registration and records, with aid decisions visible to students in the same portal. Aid staff specifically mention using it for award and disbursement workflows.
- [**Workday Student**](https://www.g2.com/products/workday-student/reviews) **:** Its financial aid and tuition management sit on the same platform as records, admissions, and student finances, so reviewers value that students see aid and account status in one real-time place. Expect to adapt some processes to its model.
- [**PeopleSoft Campus Solutions**](https://www.g2.com/products/peoplesoft-campus-solutions/reviews) **:** Reviewers on the financial side describe viewing student accounts and processing financial aid within the same suite that handles registration and records, with heavy customization to fit institutional aid rules. The trade-off is the technical overhead to build and maintain it.
- [**Anthology Student**](https://www.g2.com/products/anthology-student/reviews) **:** Includes financial aid management alongside academic planning out of the box, with student records and aid in one SaaS system. Its review base is smaller, so validate the specific FAFSA and scholarship workflows you need in a demo.

For those who've unified aid this way, did federal aid processing and institutional scholarships genuinely live in the same system, or did you still bolt on a specialist aid tool? And how much configuration did it take to match your award rules?

From conversations with financial aid offices, the split is consistent: federal processing stays in-suite fine, and the bolt-on temptation shows up with institutional scholarships, the ones with donor criteria like a left-handed junior from a specific county. Configuration effort scales with your exception count, not your award count. If your award rules fit in tables, any of these four will hold; if they live in a coordinator's head, budget for that translation first.
