I really like how easy and user-friendly TriNet is. I can find what I need really quickly, which is super helpful, especially when it's a time-sensitive topic. The initial setup of TriNet was very easy too.

As the only HR person supporting a fully remote team of about 70, what I value most about TriNet is its integration ecosystem. Benefits Connect is the clear standout: it links directly with our broker partner, so once they enter our plan and enrollment details, deductions and employer contributions automatically flow into payroll for every employee. That leaves me with a clean, reliable process where I can focus on reviewing the numbers instead of manually entering them. That alone has removed a huge amount of reconciliation work each plan year. The Retirement integration has been just as impactful; it saves an enormous amount of manual payroll effort each cycle and has become central to how we manage contributions. TriNet’s integration with Gifted for employee gifting is also a nice touch. It’s a small thing, but it’s exactly the kind of feature that makes a solo HR person’s day easier without adding yet another vendor to manage. Beyond the integrations, the platform holds up well day to day. The payroll reports have been a real workhorse. I recently pulled several months of exports broken down by employee location to reconcile data for a Workers’ Comp insurance audit, and the interface for building those custom exports is intuitive enough that I didn’t need to involve support just to get the report I needed. Off-cycle pay runs are also handled smoothly without disrupting our regular payroll cadence. When I ran into an issue bulk importing updated medical deduction amounts for our new plan year, our Payroll Manager team stepped in and entered them for us directly. That kind of hands-on support from a dedicated contact makes a real difference for a solo HR function like mine. One unexpected benefit of having payroll, benefits, and location data centralized in one system is how much faster it is to respond when a Workers’ Comp audit reviewer asks for supplemental detail—no more digging through spreadsheets from multiple sources.
