Comprehensive Log-Based Analytics with Built-In SEO Tools and Flexible Reporting

What sets SmarterStats apart is that it’s built on true web log analytics rather than JavaScript-based tracking. That means it captures every request hitting our servers, including traffic that script-based tools like Google Analytics can miss because of ad blockers or disabled JavaScript. For a logistics platform where accurate traffic data matters for both operations and marketing decisions, that level of completeness is a real advantage. The SEO tooling is also a strong bonus alongside the analytics. Being able to spot broken links, redirects, and crawlability issues within the same platform we use for traffic analysis saves us from having to juggle a separate SEO tool. On top of that, the custom reporting is flexible enough for us to build views tailored to what our team actually needs to track, instead of being limited to generic dashboards.

Privacy-Focused Analytics with Room for UI Improvement

I really like that SmarterStats keeps all the data on my own server, which means I don't have to depend on any third party. This feature is great for privacy-conscious businesses. Additionally, I appreciate that I have the control to decide how long to keep the data, and I'm not affected by any external policy changes. The installation process is also relatively easy. I just run the installer, select the log file path, and the basic configuration is complete. Usually, I can get the basic setup done in 30–60 minutes if the server is ready.
