For manufacturing company like ours. IT is a support function, not the core business, so we don't have dev team to throw at every maintenance task. OpenHands has been genuinely useful for offloading routine engineering work, dependency updates, small bug fixes, and documentation upkeep on our internal tools no longer eat up our developer's time the way they used to. Being open source and self-hostable was also a bog draw, since we didn't want our internal code bases or infrastructure details going through a closed third party platform.

What I like about OpenHands is that I can give it a task and it can handle multiple development steps without me needing to do everything manually. I also appreciate that it can create the necessary files, work through the design, and then review the implementation to catch potential issues.

Is how much of the hands on development work it can take off my plate. I can describe what I'm trying to achieve in fairly normal language and it can help work through the code, troubleshoot issues and make changes without me having to guide every single step
