I like that Nextcloud is self-hosted, which gives us full control over our data, including encryption keys and backup policies. This is crucial for our German software company because data sovereignty is very important. I also appreciate the granular sharing permissions that allow me to manage exactly who can access and edit files, with options for password protection and expiration dates. The sync client is another feature I love. It allows my team to work offline and sync changes automatically when they get back online, which is great for remote work. Additionally, the version control and file recovery feature have saved us multiple times by allowing easy restoration of previous versions and deleted files. This safety net has been invaluable.

NextCloud lets me keep my data safe and private on my own servers. It’s excellent free software, and that’s a big part of why I use it. Community support is mostly good as well, and when I’ve needed help, it has generally been fine.
