Open source, less overhead and effective text editor for linux

Ease of use, accessibility, feels like most other windows text editors, simple interface. It supports syntax highlighting for major programming languages such as C, C++, Python, and Java. Also supports spell checking, and highlights matching brackets. It's also available for Mac, windows but I've not used!.

Super fast and lightweight text editor

I like the syntax highlights, search and replace with regular expressions, and plugins for comparing files, everything works like a charm and you don't need any other editor for any of the task.

A perfect terminal

|GNOME Terminal
Gnome terminal is just a perfect terminal for all gnome-based desktop environments. I am a user of the Ubuntu desktop and the gnome-terminal comes pre-installed with it and it fulfills all needs of a Linux user. It has many great features like multi-tab, terminal zoom, theming, and native copy paste.
