Time-Saving File Sync and Secure Expiring Links with files.com

The file synchronization aspect of files.com has saved me a lot of time. We use amazon s3 and sharepoint for our cloud storage and files.com keeps all of these locations synchronized for us (we don't need to write custom code to update each location). I like the ability to create secure links to share files, along with the feature to include an expiration date on those links (this allows us to send a file to a client, set it to expire in 7 days and then i don't have to worry about deleting the file).

Robust Compliance & Transfer Solutions, Minor Usability Hurdles

I find the audit logging feature of Files.com essential, as it provides timestamps and attribution for every process, access, and transfer, which is crucial when handling patient information. The granular permission settings are great, allowing me to give specialist access to exactly one person for a defined period, avoiding the need for broader permissions. Automation has been really helpful for recurring tasks between clinic locations, running on schedule without needing staff involvement. The performance with large imaging files is solid, as studies that used to transfer electronically can now do so without failing partway.

Streamlined Client Management, but Pricing Needs Consideration

I like setting up a new client folder with the right permissions swiftly. Once configured, clients can easily access their files without needing a new link every time we have something new to share. The branded client portal is a nice touch and helps it look like an integral part of our site rather than a generic third-party tool. Performance has been reliable even with large files, like full project archives, allowing us to upload and download without the issues we used to encounter with email attachments and some consumer cloud tools.
