Seamless vSphere Integration Makes Managing Kubernetes in vCenter Easy

What I like best about VMware vSphere Kubernetes Services (VKS) is its seamless integration with the existing vSphere environment. It allows teams to manage Kubernetes clusters directly within vCenter, without needing to learn an entirely new platform. This makes adopting containerized workloads much simpler and less disruptive for infrastructure teams already familiar with vSphere.

Seamless VMware vSphere Integration, Scalable Performance, and Excellent Support

The raw performance and architectural efficiency have been impressive, especially after moving to NVMe-based all-flash configurations (vSAN Express Storage Architecture / ESA). By eliminating the traditional two-tier cache/capacity design, we saw an immediate drop in write latency and reduced CPU overhead for I/O-intensive workloads and databases. Beyond raw IOPS, the native compression and encryption integrated at the storage layer are a major plus, with no noticeable performance degradation. Overall, this gives us strong throughput and predictable latency, while also helping reduce our physical rack footprint compared with managing traditional external SAN arrays.

Centralized Management with Room for Improvement

I really like VMware vSphere Foundation for its centralized management and reliability. It's easy to manage virtual machines, allocate resources, and monitor workloads from a single platform. The automation and scalability features are also something I appreciate as our environment grows. The vCenter Server for centralized management, vMotion for moving workloads with minimal disruption, and resource management tools are the features I value the most. I also find the monitoring and lifecycle management capabilities useful in maintaining a stable environment and reducing manual administration.
