Zix is a very cost-effective, but robust email security solution. It is very accurate with what's good/bad and quarantines any questionable emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zix Email Threat Protection?

There are MANY email content rules, filters and settings to adjust, so getting the program initially fine-tuned was a little bit of an undertaking. But at the same time having this much control isn't a bad thing at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One of the best spam filters we have ever used"

5/5

What do you like best about Zix Email Threat Protection?

I love the customizable interface. We are able to fine tune the filter to exactly what we needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zix Email Threat Protection?

I do not like the inability to create a custom bypass code. A code I can give to a sender that is having issues getting through the filter that I can completely bypass the filters all together. It can slow down receiving critical emails when something is blocking it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Zix Email Threat Protection:

do not wait, it is worth the effort and cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Zix Email Threat Protection solving and how is that benefiting you?

We were receiving over 60,000+ spam a month. This has greatly reduced the amount of time in a day the 100 users are dealing with junk email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent add-on if you use Zix for email encryption."

4.5/5

What do you like best about Zix Email Threat Protection?

ZixProtect is a great addition to the Zix email encryption. It works just as well as any other solution available today and you get to reduce your number of vendors, admin consoles and platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zix Email Threat Protection?

So far I don't have any complaints or dislikes. Building on and improving the DLP would be a good add-on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Zix Email Threat Protection:

Build more advanced DLP into Zix Protect as opposed to a stand alone product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Zix Email Threat Protection solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have seen a good reduction in spam, malware and even phishing. Keeping these out of the users mailboxes is a good start at protecting your network. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Safeguarding your email"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Zix Email Threat Protection?

We just started using Zix. I like how they provide a daily update of spam, easy to navigate, and also provide security whenever I receive an email or have a link to open. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zix Email Threat Protection?

I did have my main work email hacked recently, though Zix did make me aware and also intercepted attempted hack on another of my emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Zix Email Threat Protection:

So far has been a good addition to our IT security team as we're always seeking ways to ensure safeguarding our emails, website and web presence, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Zix Email Threat Protection solving and how is that benefiting you?

Given my role, my work email is exposed and "out there" more than just about anyone else's where I work, as I'm the media relations person here; in fact, my email is the only one you can find on our website. As a result, having a secure system that can clean out spam, stave off viruses and keep the flow of my email going is paramount. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Policy enforcement on sensitive messages and reporting of infractions Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zix Email Threat Protection?

Mail Tracking queue should allow 30 days minimal however haven't reviewed fully (might be able to expand). Hasn't been designated a priority to expand just an observation. Out of band SMS would be a good fit for encryption portal security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Zix has been a great partner on email protection"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Zix Email Threat Protection?

We have used Zix Gateway Email encryption for years (10+) and recently moved to the hosted solution along with their Spam protection product and has been a smooth transition for our organization. Great product(s). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zix Email Threat Protection?

No major complaints at the moment with the product. Email encryption is never something that is welcome by our customers (recipients) so from that aspect anything they can do to make the end user experience more friendly, then the better off we all are. Fairly new to the Spam Protection piece with Zix, but so far no complaints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zix Email Threat Protection?

not the most intuitive setup for the non Office365\Exchange admin. filter is a bit stringent. doesnt allow for personal emails to be sent to business address with similar names. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Zix Email Threat Protection:

try it, but be patient, they are obviously still in the beginning stages with this product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Zix Email Threat Protection solving and how is that benefiting you?

we just needed a better, all encompassing email protection product than Office 365 was offering. the Archive and Continuity are extremely valuable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
