This is a 3 step creator, keywords will appear automatically and also the finder is very helpful. The reach is high and helps to improve our business activity. Reaching a wide group of customers for the restaurant - better ranking in the search results and good visibility in the single categories. Yelp Advertising is a wonderful way to get your brand out there in a way that seems authentic and natural to your target demographic. By advertising on Yelp you are using untraditional marketing strategies that your competitors might not be aware of. You are more likely to get a lot out of your advertising with Yelp if you have spent some time and money on getting good reviews from your customers, and also if you are not a food establishment or "typical" retail location. By this, I mean that if you are a wedding dress store, which is a kind of service where most do not have any experience or a relationship with. Then, being placed first on Yelp can help you tremendously. On the other hand, if you are a typical café in a small neighborhood, you are not going to see the same results because many people already have a chosen favorite café and they won't be swayed by just seeing your business name and reviews. They need more advertising to be convinced. For us, being in the wedding industry, Yelp Advertising has been extremely helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Yelp Advertising? There have been some times where we have not had the revenue and profits we were hoping and there are certain times of year where we have to limit our ad budget. During these times, Yelp will call and call and call. They want us "back", even when we explain that we cannot afford it. They keep calling and asking, and they say things like: "you will make the money back in no time". And yes, that has been true during summer months for example, but the amount of people getting married in November is low compared to June. And so, their pressure to buy is uncomfortable. Most Yelp users do not realize that the first listings they see on Yelp are promoted and that their placement has little to do with their Yelp ranking and more to do with how much more than the competitor they were willing to pay. It's a nice way to advertise a restaurant or local service that you need to search for. The platform itself is a great way to view a menu or hours for a restaurant. For the most part, the ratings help you choose a restaurant following all health code rules and regulations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Yelp Advertising? Yelp bullies you into using their service. The second you register your business on many platforms you get hounded for calls upon calls. It also seems like when you deny their request for their expensive advertising, your good reviews seem to get hidden and your restaurant doesn't rank as high on their search results. The algorithm "happens" to stop working regardless of good reviews and business. The worst part of the advertising platform is that it's only good on Yelp. If someone looks for a Chinese restaurant for example, you will have your ad displayed with your total review rating. That is very useless in the sense that people almost always go with the restaurant they want in the top 10 results underneath the ads. The ads are also extremely expensive per impression. Instead find a way to sell your advertising in a manner that encourages more businesses to use your platform. Lower the cost of your ads! They are way to expensive for small business owners. The biggest benefits from using their platform is stopping the numerous calls you get every day and every single week asking you to sign up for advertising.
